Yeah. It has been reprinted, it now has a green cover, but the one I have, I think, but I may be wrong, has more stories in it.

The cover of the one I have has a photo of Jeremy sitting on the floor in front of a blue Porsche on it. If you are interested in getting a copy, eBay might be kind to you. :)

Piers Morgan' new book God Bless America.

I know, I know I should be all ashamed but I actually enjoy his books and am racing through this one at a cracking speed.

I'm reading 'Under The Wire', the autobiography of William Ash. In the early days of WWII he gave up American citizenship to join the RCAF as a Spitfire pilot. He was imprisoned by the Nazis but escaped three times and was the inspiration for Steve McQueen's 'Cooler King' character in The Great Escape. It's a cracking read.

One of these days I might get to read something that doesn't have to do with warplanes (I have a couple of books on the Battle of Britain to get through as well), but last time I tried that, I ended up reading about the sinking and rediscovery of The Bismarck and the expeditions to the wrecks of Guadalcanal and Midway ::)

On the topic of World War II, I am currently reading my father in laws pilots log book, which has recently come into our hands. He did all sorts of missions in the war and was shot down a couple of times, but lived to fly another day. He was mostly flying Lancasters. It makes fascinating reading.

On the train home tonight I've been reading 'Have I Got Views For You' by Boris Johnson. I do love me a bit of Boris :)

Oh yes. I *had* to read one of his books for A Level - what a chore that was ;D The only sad thing was that my copy of 'Notes From A Small Island' is now covered with annotations ;D

in an effort to eat healthier, i'm reading "vegan soul kitchen" by bryant terry. it has some interesting stories as well as recipes. i could never be hardcore vegan, but a little less dairy & eggs in my diet couldn't be all bad.

Oh :S I tried out veganism for 3-4 weeks. Not something I would advise. According to scientific findings vegans have smaller IQs on average because of the lack of nutrients and general amino acids that you get in meaty 'brain foods'. Just a random little factoid for you there. I didn't lose any weight from it either (which was not the intention) which I found quite surprising. It makes you terribly hungry because it encourages you to eat "little and often" and although some of it can be putrid (I'm now recalling making celery smoothies :X), it's not generally filling unless you're eating vegan certified pasta and other carbs. It's also broody expensive! Holland & Barrett are a complete rip off. I've still got the nut loaf in the cupboard downstairs because I can't bear to face it.
I fear the only good that came out of it for me was finding that soya milk is actually really nice once you get accustomed to it. The whole time I was really concentrating on when my next meal was going to be and ended up pre-occupied by the limited choice of food there was for me (chiefly because I'm such an awkward git and don't like most rabbit food).

You'll have to forgive me that little rant as I realise that you are not a vegan, but unless you are some nutty environmentalist (haha, clearly not too liberal here) I would sincerely advise not making it an option for yourself in the future.

Damn you ASDA and your lack of vegan cheese.

silk soymilk's very vanilla is my fave. :) their spice lattes are good, too, but i can rarely find them.

i've never liked the vegetarian/vegan cheeses(weird aftertaste), so i stick with lowfat, part skim regular ones.

Some of the foods definitely had a weird aftertaste. The nut loaf looks so clichédly bad that it's sort of amusing, and I've even got some "Mock Duck" downstairs ;D
Alpro Soya is fine for me - nowadays I seem to drink every kind of milk that doesn't come from a coo!
