Avatars, Signatures, Ticker Boards
The above are optional to the individual member but we prefer that your Avatar, Signature, Ticker Board is James May and/or Top Gear related. Please try to ensure you do not use an Avatar that is already in use.

Where to find AvatarsSome sites we recommend: www.eruanna.net/content/avatars/top-gearcommunity.livejournal.com/tick_icon/22481.htmlwww.maytrix.co.uk/icons.htmHow to make your Avatar of maximum sizeGo to your own profile, i.e. click on your user name Choose modify profile Under Personal Information Locate Avatar URL, Avatar width and height...this defaults to size of the Avatar being 65 x 65 but you can increase this to a maximum of 100 x 100..... Please note: some sites ask you to inform them you are using their avatars. Addition: Pictorially sexually explicit Avatars are not permitted

I can't get my avatar to work, I've put it in photobucket and cut and pasted the URL but it doesn't show up. What am I doing wrong? Are you using the right one from the list you copy it from? It needs to be one that starts with http:// (I think). Have you put the size in - 100 x 100 or whatever? I had a similar problem yesterday.

Cheers for the links! Finally found an avatar I love. Just hoping now that no one else's got it already....? EDIT: aaah, no one has. Funny, cos it does look familiar...

I'm still having problems setting up an Avatar despite all the help & advice i've been given on here . Could some kind soul please give me a step by step word for word guide (ie just pretend that i'm very thick; not hard to do) and if i'm not successful after this (i intend to keep trying for as long as possible) then i will call it a day. Thankyou in anticipation of your patience.

Right cheese are you on photobucket?

Yes, it would be a good start to upload any pics you have to a photobucket account. It makes it much easier to paste a weblink that way.

You can also adjust larger-sized pictures into avatars using photobucket, which is useful.

Can we just ask that members make their signatures a little shorter or not too large height wise as it takes up a lot of space and also if they are too wide, they do tend to throw the page width out and so you have to scroll across to read stuff. Thank you. Ly
