Why oh why does every book signing have to be in London? I suppose the obvious answer is, James lives there

Now I'm really torn *It's the Airbus book again which I had signed at Leadenhall in Sept. *I'd have to have a day off work, which would be frowned upon even though they owe me the hours. *I saw James last Sunday at MPH. *The book costs twice as much in Waterstones as it does in Tesco's. *The day would cost me around a £100 just before Christmas. *I might get asked to move from my spot where I stand watching James after he's signed my book. (that happened at the little Leadenhall shop, so I ended up leaving after a few minutes.) Well these are some of the 'againsts'. Now for the 'fors'. *I'd get to meet James again.

Now I'm really torn *It's the Airbus book again which I had signed at Leadenhall in Sept. So you have two copies *shrugs*. One to read, one to keep in a display cabinet *I'd have to have a day off work, which would be frowned upon even though they owe me the hours. How much frowning? *I saw James last Sunday at MPH. That was ages ago. *The book costs twice as much in Waterstones as it does in Tesco's. Buy it at tesco's, put it in a waterstone's bag, they'll never know. I do it all the time. *The day would cost me around a £100 just before Christmas. You deserve a Christmas treat *I might get asked to move from my spot where I stand watching James after he's signed my book. (that happened at the little Leadenhall shop, so I ended up leaving after a few minutes.) Hide behind me. Well they are some of the 'againsts'. Now for the 'fors'. *I'd get to meet James again. Seems like a no-brainer really ;D

MoA, it's not compulsory to buy the book at the booksigning venue - it can be bought anywhere. So, you could buy it elsewhere and then take it along to Waterstones. I've done that for numerous booksignings at different venues, and it's never been a problem. Go on, go to Canary Wharf...you know you want to! ;D

*I saw James last Sunday at MPH. You can never see enough of James Just remember that most of the things one generally regrets in life are the things you don't do.

Wonderful news MofA, I'm so pleased for you. I'm sure you won't regret a minute of it. Think we are all a bit guilty of being silly where James is concerned, he's such a lovely guy and worth every minute of our attention. Look forward to hearing all about your day when you return. Have a brilliant time.

Just a thought...would anyone who is going to this consider getting a copy signed for me? I would, of course, be more than happy to pay for the book and the cost to ship it to me. I would be ever so grateful!

Ditto. I can't make it to the signing, but if anyone was willing to get me one, I'd be very grateful.
p.s. Aeromanda. I can't believe there's another Aerosmith AND James fan out there! ;D

I'm worrying about the weather. I promised myself I'd come to this one, but there's no way I would drive that distance there and back at the best of times, and I don't want to shell out for a train ticket then find trains are cancelled or badly delayed. With the transport links I've planned I wouldn't get wet or anything, but I need to be sure I'll get there!
I really feel I'm dithering on the horns of a dilemma here, and it's getting painful!
