Well, if your dad looks like James, he must be incredibly handsome!

Oh yay! thankyou Mojo! I was gonna ask for someone to find this one if no one put it up (being terrible at finding such things myself) I first started to realise that this other guy off top gear might actually be something the exact moment i saw that look. The rest, as they say....

My 'moment' was when he got stuck in the carboat thing, I giggled for ages after watching that, then all of a sudden it just dawned on me...thought 'OH MY GOD' and i haven't been the same since ;D

My first James 'moment' was the Masseratti one in Sicely, when he goes, "heh he." The way he opened his mouth after that affected me very strongly. I haven't been the same since.

I have always thought he was cute and adorable, the feelings just got stronger as time went on. I love his little 'come and get me' looks he does to the camera sometimes.

Iv'e watched Top gear for years (initially due to petrol head ex) and James sort of grew on me, I love his mannerisms and individuality. He's still growing on me in fact, but worryingly so is jeremy now ( put it down to my old age!!!)/

Nothing wrong with that.
I remember the first half ep of TG I saw was when my Grandad was still in hospital, I was channel flicking and saw someone (didn't know who at the time) talking about a car and zooming around, I watched the ep and thought that it was good. Then I caught it a couple of eps later, the ep where Richard was in the car and being electrocuted and I loved that one, I did watch that bit from behind my hands though. Then he got out of hospital and I had no time for telly so it got put to the back of my head. Then a couple of years later, Grandad died and I had more time, eventually, to devote to watching TV, I used to look after him that is why my TV time was limited. And I was sad one night so decided to go channel flicking again and I saw an ep of it and Jeremy (though I didn't know it was him at the time) was whizzing around the track in a car and the footage was beautiful and so was the car and I was captivated and the first thing I thought was 'OMG! That man is gorgeous!' and after that I went online to talk to a mate I had made on another forum and she told me that she watched it all the time, told me that the gorgeous man was Jeremy and pointed me in the direction of his written work and that was it, I was hooked. Then they repeated the ep on BBC2 here where he fell off his hovercraft, I had been told of the time of it for the Sunday ep and made sure to watch it all and I had to record the repeat of that ep, Jeremy and the hovercraft incident was just too funny and that was the first ep I recorded and I have been addicted ever since. Then it was all about Jeremy and the others were great but they weren't Jeremy but then Richard had his horrid accident and that made me realise how much I loved and adored the others too. And the rest, as they say, is history. I got into Jeremy's other things, helped by another mate, started buying TG mag and have been addicted ever since.
I also was remembering back, a while ago, that I remembered seeing Jeremy in his chat show Clarkson in 98 or so and fuzzy memory tells me that he was standing in front of an easel with a board on it and he had a pointer and he was taking the mickey out of the Americans. I laughed so much, I thought he was very funny and I did think that he was a comedian! Well, I know now that he is, of sorts. Ironically, the fact that my Grandad is not here meant that I could indulge in car tv and TG is something that my Grandad would have loved. Especially in its present form, all the adventures and whatnot. He got me interested in cars/buses/engines and stuff.
Sorry, I went on a bit then. Delete this if you want too, Admin/Mods.

Pendine sands. When James almost loses control of the car and then goes 'strewth'. My heart just started thudding- the look of concentration and concern on his face was SO hot. That was my moment I think.

My "addiction" to both TG and Mr.May is the sole responsibility of my Mum. She has loved TG for years and has been at me to watch it. She and Dad moved in here with us earlier this year because they were building a new house. Mum made me sit down and watch the first challenges DVD. Mum's fave of the TG3 is James. Richard was my fave to start with.
Not long afterward I had a lovely dream about James that was very real. Since then I haven't been able to stop adoring him.
For a few weeks Mum and I had our daily TG fix. As a result my Dad and TOH are sick of the sight and voices of the TG3! ;D
So I am a recent convert.
