Could I meet you at Bank? I may get distracted by the shops otherwise

Yep. We can arrange to meet people at a convenient place such as Bank tube and as Inky says, there is a very nice pub very near the bookshop for some courage before if necessary.

Hmmm.... I'm not sure if I should go. I have a bit of a phobia of Oz Clarke... Me too! But, but it's James I could come with if you like?

I think it's the Lamb Tavern next door to Waterstones.
There's also a cheese shop in Leadenhall Market that hosts wine & cheese events and does a cheese based lunch menu! How did we miss that last time?

We won't miss it this time that's for sure. I was just remembering how we all met this time last year actually.

There's an outside chance I might be able to make this one, thinking about it. It's 10 days after the next student loan comes in, which is pretty good timing...

I remember me & Ly circling around each other at Bank, not quite sure if we should say hello, or if it was the wrong person! ;D
I will come to this if I can, but it depends on a load of stuff I won't know about until a day or two before the event. IF I get most of the reports in by the deadline. I can sort them over the weekend & free up some time later in the week. But that's a very big if! I have to get them all into the post by that Friday.

Purely out of respect for the guy, I'd have a good natter with Oz because he has done so much to make James the wine ponce *cough, sorry, guru* that he is now. That deserves rewarding!

Well, I do like my wine, so I'd be more than happy to say hello to Oz - and to thank him for furthering my wine education

I have something to give him so that will make me talk to him a little. I dont drink so I have to rely on my adrenaline to kick in lol. I ususally shake uncontrollably but I dont let it stop me. I have no idea how on earth to find the booksigning as never been to that part of london before. Is Bank the nearest station to the shop? I know I can get there from London Bridge. I think staight through possibly.

London Bridge would be a good place to get off Vix. Then straight up to Bank on the tube. As Lew said, we can meet you if you want. I can get the train to London Bridge Would someone (I don't mind who) be able to meet me at the station? I'll get lost and panic otherwise (or just get back on a train home)

*jumps up and down and waves* I'll be there! And my dental work will be finished by then so I can stun James with a dazzle flare from my gnashers and we can all pile on!
I said that out loud didn't I? ~note to self- cultivate inner monologue~

Oh, I'm so scared. But I wish I could go. I just don't know what January has waiting for me yet, so I can't really plan that far ahead. I'd love to be able to meet up with yall. You'd know me by my burgandy coloured, knee length coat and black knee high boots.

Uh-oh. I just looked at the first page for the times and I could make it down in time for lunch and the signing, but I'd be late getting son from school, if I don't have a job by that point. If I do, I might see if I can take the day off and just pick up son from the youth centre. If not, well I hope all of you going enjoy yourselves and tell James and Oz hi for me and sorry I couldn't make it. Like I said, I won't know until closer to time. If I am able to go down, I'll more than likely get in to King's Cross and take the underground. I'll have to let you know closer to time. *fingers crossed*

The thought of buying "him indoors" - still a bit poorly after yesterday's beer adventure in Dudley - a book on beer written by OznJames amuses me quite a lot.

Right - I would *like* to be there, but I can't say yes or no yet, as I'm currently in the process of moving to Bolton and I will *either* have found a job and a semi-permanent residence by then... or I'll have failed, been booted off the sofa and come home with my tail between my legs, and be able to come. I can, if necessary, collect people from London Bridge if I'm going to be there, though, or if it would be more useful, be horrendously early and make sure we have a good queue position, as I have no problem with hanging round places reading...
