Speaking of James twins. A few weeks ago I get a phone call from my brother saying that James May is on ABC2. I rush to get the remote all excited but there's no sign of James on that channel. My brother starts laughing as he says that Phil Harding on "Time Team" is who he was referring to!! Last week he SMSs me to say that it's medieval James and the other guy had stolen his jumper. The other guy had a knitted stripey jumper on! See what I have to put up with from my family. ;D I must admit I get a good laugh out of it. For those of you who don't know this is Phil Harding:

I think it is the accent even though that is nothing like James's either. My bro and his fiance are just teasing me.

Was pondering on this question whilst watching Springwatch last night.... they have a new presenter called Martin Hughes-Games this series, and he doesn't half look like James. Same floppy hair, same overall face shape, he EVEN rides a motorbike and also looks hot in leather! Here's a pic: I love this show. I finally got to see it while I was in Aberdeen and wanted to see it again last week, but either missed it, or it didn't come on. This guy is really cool. I'd love to have his job. He has the same enthusiasm for his subject as Steve Irwin and Bruce Dickenson, which makes me like him even more. I have to admit that he is good looking too. From the back and on his motorcycle, I can see the resemblance to James, but not in the face so much. To me, he looks more like a cross between John Cougar Melloncamp and Christopher Lambert in Highlander. A real babe, but not really a James look-a-like.

Thanks for the pic, Kat. He is fine. I was sleeping at that time, so I missed it. I'll have to check iPlayer when I get a chance. I'd really like to see it. I'm officially hooked now.

It's normally Noddy Holder Phil's teased about looking like! He does have something in common with James though - both appreciate a decent pint of real beer, though I suspect Phil could drink James under the table any day, ooh god ahrr! This is quite funny. Alex Lester, I think, fancies himself as something of a James May lookalike. There was a thread about it on his show a while ago. I'm fond of Alex Lester, he is good company in the small hours of the morning, but No. Just No. There was a time when you could see a slight reference between the two - mostly the hair - but now A.L. is a bit chubbier and it's gone completely. However, look at this. A bit of plagiarism! profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=176085936

I never liked the original to begin with, it was too medical, but now, with the glove added to the smile. . . .
No. Again.

Oh god no, that image of the smile plus the glove is all too much. Rapidly going to the smilely James section of this site to recover.

No disrespect for the dead, but too close a resemblence to Michael Jackson for my likings.

I saw him last night, on 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks,' and did a double take. From a distance I though, 'is that James?'

That's Ed Byrne, right? Or am I mistaken (as usual?)

Tis indeed. He was on Mock the Week last night and (according to someone who was at the filming) there was much discussion about whether Ed was turning into James, and whether James would wear that jacket Ed's wearing (it's velvet!) I'm going to see Ed Byrne in September in London - he premiered some of the new standup material at Glastonbury and it's going to be great!!
