Looks like honey or some sort of chutney, which given James's penchant for Indian food would be about right. Is the food on the right some sort of nut? Like a macadamia or a hazel nut? Is he cooking nuts in honey? Er, um... yum? That would make good TV. ;D No doubt someone who actually saw the episode will be able to tell us, Eclair.

Are they brussell sprouts or small potatoes. I'm not quite sure what he is making unless it's for the pie.

I reckon they are chestnuts and he is caramelising them. Yes, caramelising his nuts.

I like brussell sprouts. I shall have some tonight. What does the caramelised nuts go with though? The pie?

They look like sprouts to me. ;D He should bring out his own cookbook.....not that I have any idea of what he's supposed to be making in that pic.

Ah, Beckstar on HH is saying the same. She thinks James's race bit at the Humber was filmed last year. You see, no pulling the wool over our eyes TG. Yep: at a rate of 15mm a month, it would take that long for the fringe to catch up with the sides...

Even Him Indoors noticed the difference. (The man who said, when I was getting ready for MPH: "Are you ironing that shirt for James..." )
