I went to the Town Hall to pay my Council Tax yesterday, and parked outside was one of the Council's official cars. It had a badge above the windscreen, displaying the Kensington and Chelsea coat of arms, and the reg. number R111 BKC. As I looked at it, I couldn't help wondering if this was the reason why I, and everyone else, pays Council Tax. It was...a gleaming black Bentley Flying Spur. And this is a Council car...well, it's OK for some!

I still say you should go in, point out that your council tax paid for that car and explain that therefore it is yours and you should be allowed to play with it ;D

I saw a silver-grey Chrysler Crossfire coupe parked down the road from my casino after I left work this morning. It really is an odd-looking car. Somehow, the proportions seem all wrong.

I know exactly what you mean XJ. I thought much the same as I was leaping out the way of the one that nearly ran me over. I can see why some people think it's quite handsome, but it looks heavy and muscular in a "solid" way rather than in a "sculpted" way. It looks a bit squat to me and almost a bit thuggish. It's like if, for the sake of argument, the Maserati GranTurismo is the bloke in the Aero Bubbles ad, the Crossfire is Ray Winston.
Not that either of them do a damn thing for me like that (the blokes, not the cars).

A very lovely Audi R8 in silver on the M55 eastbound and then, as I was coming back from the hairdressers, a metallic grey Maserati four door. Very nice

Nearly in a head on collision with a Bentley GTC still a nice car though.... LOL Manson! You don't have to almost wreck 'em to count them as 'spotted', you know. How did you manage that then?

The silly billy in the Bentley took the wrong turn off the roundabout and came down our lane of traffic, and we where at the front of the cue...

I saw a black Mercedes Maybach parked just down the road from my casino tonight, while en route to work. Ouite a plain car, but somehow rather elegant, too. On leaving work, I had just started to walk down the street when I heard a truly wonderful, resonant engine sound coming from a bit further down the road behind me. It turned out to be a stunning black Lamborghini Murcielago, which was just pulling up outside the posh nightclub next to my casino. Even while it was just idling, it sounded incredible; I looked back at it a couple of times, and I could imagine it quivering with all that potential energy waiting to be released. And when the driver revved up and got going...oooooh, bloody hell...!! ;D In a narrow, quiet street, with high buildings on either side, it was as if I was hearing that magnificent engine with the aid of Surround Sound! Believe me, hearing it on TV is nothing to hearing it in person. It really is pant-wettingly good! ;D

Mmm... MurciƩlago... I'm rather envious of that! This is why I much prefer spotting things in the street to seeing them at shows or in dealerships, or parked at the roadside for that matter!

How the hell can you be envious of a Lambo, when you've seen a Veyron on the road?!! ;D Oooooh, just imagine the sound of a Veyron on a narrow, quiet street like that...! ;D

Well, I had just seen a Gallardo (which I might possibly have mentioned is my very favourite current supercar ;D ) when the Veyron came down the road... and I have to admit it did sound glorious (actually, they both did!). It would be amazing to hear that sound in a confined space! But I can be envious simply on the basis of the acoustics, even ignoring my passion for Lambos The Veyron is something special, though. It has such an amazing presence and there's something very elegant about it despite its power.

You know, all this talk of supercars had made me want to hold off telling you about my latest sighting.
I hope you're sitting down...
On the way to uni the other day I saw a delightful Reliant Rialto in a truly gorgeous shade of olive drab. As if my day couldn't get any better, on the way home I saw a bright red Reliant Robin!

LOL!! Maybe Reliants travel in pairs...! In terms of car spotting, I reckon I did quite well tonight:- Lamborghini Gallardo Lamborghini Murcielago Corvette Rolls Royce Bentley Flying Spur 2x Aston Martin DB9 (one coupe, one convertible) Several Porsches Saturday night in the posh part of the West End...ain't it great...?! ;D

Well, it wasn't a completely rubbish day for me car-wise either, come to think of it. A black Bentley Continental GTC pulled into our car park just as I was getting to work, which was nice. It was probably the same one that nearly ran me over when I first started working there!

How pretty and XJ that is some spotting! I wouldn't have been able to walk properly if I'd seen that small procession. I'd bounced everywhere. And Wy, I'm jealous!!!

I saw this abomination when I was in London recently. As if the Prius wasn't an ugly, slab-sided, heavy, thirsty monster, this one has been decorated with green tomato things. I have no idea why. The Prius is supposed to be environmentally friendlier but it didn't do my environment any favours, looking like that. Yuck! EDIT: Just done a bit of Googling (god bless Google!) and now I know what it's all about. Green Tomato Cars (explains the green tomatoes) is an environmentally friendlier minicab company. Thank god for that, I thought someone might have done it to their own car on purpose, but as a brand it obviously works.

IDK, would you really want to be seen in a cab that had its Christmas decorations painted on it, this far in front of Christmas?? ;D

Good point! I'm not sure I'd ever want to be seen in a Prius covered in tomatoes!
Actually, when I said it works as a brand, I just meant in terms of how easy it is to identify - I typed "green tomato Prius" into Google and voila! There it was!
