That's very new - I quite like the look of it. It's certainly different - might have to order a brochure ;D

This is kinda cheating at car spotting but I went to the first ever Qatar Motor Show today and here is a link to the photo's I took of a few of the yummy cars. Even though it's a Face Book photo album you don't need to be a member to view them (theoretically).www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=272425&id=605731605&l=cdee370900

The dead bendy bus was epic - its arse was all stoved in and the front didn't look much better. Rust In Pieces, bendy bus ;D

I've only seen a pic of one for a few seconds on TG, ages ago. What's the problem with them? Is it that all must give way to them?

Have you ever met a bendy bus? Err... no.... they don't have such things here Are they nasty then? They're OK in wide, not too busy streets with no cyclists and no corners, but they are unwieldy and dangerous in the wrong places. This is why they're being taken off the roads (gradually) in London, where they block traffic and sometimes knock cyclists over.

Fantastic car, DMC. My OH and I went to Windsor on Saturday, and while we were there we saw a gleaming black convertible E-Type Jaguar, and later an early 1990s Jaguar XJS. The latter brought back memories of my own XJS, which was only a year younger than the one we saw. *sigh*

Aw, DMC, what a beauty! Stunning condition, don't know whether it's in the process of restoration but it's going to be amazing.
You don't see that kind of model much in the UK.

I almost ran into a Ferrari F355 on my way home. He said "GRRRR" and "VROAARRRR". Niiiice. I think this was the first time that I've ever seen a Ferrari up close and personal. A nice pick-me-up at the start of my weekend!

My bus was overtaken by a white R8 this morning on the way to work. Didn't beat what I saw last night though... I was walking back to the tube in Kensington after one of the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs at the Albert Hall (bizarrely, although there's only one, it is marked twice on Google maps... has James been working for them?) and my friend and I went via the Lamborghini showroom. They had a Gallardo Bicolore in the window. However, that doesn't really count because it was in the showroom. On the other hand, what was parked outside certainly does, and if you know your musclecars, you'll understand why we both got very over-excited. We saw a Mustang Fastback. Now this in itself isn't that exciting, because a someone I know has a 1966 Fastback, but as we got closer, I realised it wasn't typical - it was in fact a Mustang 428 Cobra Jet and it was beautiful. Not a bad way to round off an evening that had been spent listening to Roger Daltrey performing Tommy ;D

I had a nice, dark red Alfa Romeo behind me a short while when I drove home from work today I think it was a Mito, but I'm not sure.. Anyway, Alfas are not common at all around here, especially not in our little village ;D

Yesterday I drove from London to Plymouth and although I tried to keep track, I simply lost count of the number of amazing cars I saw! I think because it's a holiday weekend there must be a lot of car meets and pageants going on, and because the weather's beautiful, people were getting their 'special' cars out! On the way down I spotted a convoy of four cars - a huge 'Yank tank' of some description - bright red, massive chrome grille, possibly a Cadillac - and three British - looking cars (pretty sure one was a Riley, not sure about the others) that all appeared to date from the 1950s. This was a good start, and during the course of the day I also saw an Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, another Aston that was going too quickly in the opposite direction to see what it was, two classic 1980s Porsche 911s with the massive whaletail spoilers, a Ferrari 355 (one of my favourite Ferraris, certainly looks-wise), an endurance racing car on a trailer, a Vauxhall VX220, a Lotus Exige, a Peugeot RCZ, my first 'in the wild' (if you were at the UK Top Gear Live shows, this was one of the Cool Wall cars - the one with the glass 'double bubble' roof), a Triumph Herald of the same type and model as mine on the back of a breakdown truck (so VERY like mine), what I think was a Ford Thunderbird but the motorway crash barrier made it tricky to be sure, a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and that same 1950s convoy I'd seen in the morning making its way back I didn't think it could get much more interesting than that until my friend, who was driving the return leg, burst out laughing when we were nearly home as we came up to a roundabout. I looked up from fiddling with my emails to see that we were behind a Bond Bug!

My OH and I went to Lymington on Easter Sunday, and as well as the expected plethora of boats, we saw numerous nice cars, both in Lymington itself and on the journey there and back. However, the best sighting of the day was this:- Attachments:

It turned out to be a 1936 Lagonda LG45. The year was denoted by a small plaque on the dashboard, and my OH and I managed to figure out the model by looking on the Internet. Here's the view of the front:- Attachments:
