oh why why why is he in a 2cv? That was a joke. It was the car all the anti-nuclear-energy protesters drove in the seventies and eighties.

Very interesting programme. It'll be good to see some of it actually happen. Particularly liked the James Bond-like tide power windmill (if that makes sense). Hope there's more programmes made like this.

I read that this was the original idea that James had for a programme, the one subject that interested him most. And I think it showed. Such a relief to see someone present a programme about a subject he knows well and cares about.
And I must say I found it somewhat of a relief to see there are so many different different sort of techniques being developed to tap into all those sorts of energy. Good of him to point out that there is nothing "alternative" about it. Although he will probably be accused by Jezza and Richard of being a tree-hugger from now on. ;D

Still having scared the crap out of myself watching the Protect and survive videos and Threads the other day, I'm glad I wasn't born!

I quite liked the cold war. The sense of dread hanging over our heads that at any moment we'd be wiped out by the press of a button. ;D

I want more of that episode. James was brilliant, it was definitely the most interesting one. The nuclear fusion was incredible, to actually see it happening rather than a scientific equation (2CV was funny), mind boggling. It certainly opened up more questions and the various prototype solutions to get the energy were brilliant. I think James rather liked the lab coat ;D The transport episode indulged (I mean this is the nicest sense) his motoring/pilot side, the robotics episode was far more creative scientifically rather than an actual need for its development but is something that has created breakthroughs along the way. Finally the energy episode was something which affects everyone and the various ways which energy can be produced. Well Done James ;D

Another great episode, and a great series all round, IMHO. ;D I know I've said it before, but I reckon it's worth saying again: here's hoping someone will commission a show or series about music sometime.

He did look fab and the best bit was that HE WAS IN ULSTER!!
And when I say Ulster, sadly, I don't mean me. Strangford, (bearing in mind my sense of geography is appalling) isn't too far away from where I live, I think.
Bit too far out of the way for me though, I don't drive. *waits for the shock noises*
I love cars, but I have never had a desire to learn how to drive.
Anyway, the throbbing bit was funny and Stig, I agree with you, why didn't he just say TG Track?

He could be like one of those men from those shows they had in the 70s, an expert goes into a studio, with an instrument, and teaches the audience and the people at home how to play it.

Anyone got a torrent yet, please??? If you join TheBox you can download it from there. www.thebox.bz/main.php. And Viper over on FG promised he would upload the torrent as soon as he spotted the file somewhere. Somehow Megaupload doesn't work for me with big files like this one. Whenever I try to upload it stalls sooner or later. So I can't upload this one, I'm afraid.

Finally just got round to seeing this on iplayer. Brave man! I wouldn't fancy climbing up that tower......I don't like heights either, and I don't exactly go out of my way to climb up big towers. Feet on the ground, me.

Is it just me or is watching James a bit like that advert for aero chocolate. The hunky bloke that walks around in a towel explaining why there are bubbles in areo chocolate. And woman says at the end - " was he talking"

Yeah, I love that advert. Can't help thinking that as gorgeous as the bloke in the advert is, and he is gorgeous, any of the TG guys would be better in the role.
Anyone want to queue up to be towel girls?
Jeremy, I am coming to get you!! *looks naughty*

Aw what a fab series- well done James! Wasn't his hair clean and shiney?! Clean and shiny? It looked to me like he wasn't bothered about his hair throughout the whole episode - were we watching the same programme? ;D
