We made it back to our hotel in time to see this. Son fell asleep halfway through, but husband and I enjoyed it thoroughly. This was one, not only up James' alley, but definately up my husband's alley. When James said he was suffering on the sun tower in Spain, husband and I immediately knew what he meant, since we both know he's afraid of heights. I think the wave power one is a great idea. Husband was hoping for more information on Hydrogen power, since that's what he'd like to see happen. I think it's all great, since I'm a fan of sustainable energy and living. I'd like to see it put more into practice as well.

Finally got the torrent downloaded and watched. This was probably my least favorite of the three but that doesn't mean that James isn't still lovely. I am dismayed though that he was maybe 20 minutes away from me (the part with the space elevator in Maryland) and I had no idea. I would've loved to take him to the 2 Air and Space museums here.

After thinking about this, I think the programmes weren't in the right order. It could have gone 1. Transport, Energy, Robotics 2. Energy, Transport, Robotics. Because it would have answered the 'what will fuel our cars' question as the Energy and Transport ones are related.
I may need to rethink this.
Option 1 seems pretty logical.

This was my favourite, mainly because I'm interested in the subject a lot. There were so many interesting subjects in this series, that mind controlled wheelchair absolutely blew me away.

I think you're right - energy is an interest of yours and not of mine. I'm more interested by transport and computers so I enjoyed those more. That being said, James talking about energy is a million times more enjoyable than anyone else and he's probably one if not the only person who could actually get me interested in it.

Again, all of us being different, I wasn't that interested in the robots episode. I find it quite freaky, that people will make 'machines' and try to make them as human as possible, and give them human traits.

I'm with rwhip923 on this... this was my least favourite too... once again, a matter of taste, found the transport and robots interesting, but the fuel less so (and he didn't play the piano! )

I think I preferred the fuel one best of all of them - and I sense I am slightly alone on this LOL Possibly because I am a 'green freak', like my dear old mum, I like the idea behind creating fuel from resources like the wind and the sun. I found the idea of petrol from fresh air quite bizarre, but fascinating nonetheless.

I loved it all, fascinated by it all, but, sadly, lots of it may never come to fruition.

Mind you... James could demonstrate the boiling point of soil, while reading the telephone directory, and I'd be entranced!!

Yeah, because he could make the most dull thing fascinating, it is just something about his personality.

I enjoyed this episode, maybe not as much as the first and second, but seeing all the 'alternate' energy has put in a better state of mind for the future. The Hydrogen powered bike was something marvellous indeed. James, and the other people involved in making this series, really knows how to involve and interest the audience in such a way that education = fun. Not an easy task to do, mind, and they have done brilliantly. Can't wait for the next round of documentaries from James

I just finished watching ep. 3, very informative. I'd seen the towers in Spain on some other show just recently, they're very interesting. Poor thing, having to climb that. And for my totally shallow comment of the day that will probably make me very unpopular, his hair is just awful in ep. 3, it looks like he hasn't washed it in a few days and about half of it has fallen out.

The problem with iPlayer is that you can't keep it. The downloads die after 30 days, annoyingly enough. However, I notice we have torrents, so all is not lost
