NO - That is a chap called Stig Blomqvist! One of the original Quattro team members. He has been drivng since the 1960s, and is still going strong! He drives exhibition stuff, and old school Escorts these days! (Name dropping alert) I was having a nice chat with him and Hannu Mikkola at Goodwood this summer!

However, I am trying to make sense of a thread called Favourite Stig Pictures when the Stig, to be fair, always looks exactly the same.....

But we'd need pictures of the new stig....and he hasn't really featured much, other than power laps. They seem to have scaled him right back, so that he has very little personality or presence any more. Understandable, I suppose. Got a name for this, er, possible contender??? Or is this a path we shouldn't take??!!  |

you have to look at both pictures!  the man is Anthony Davidson - ex-F1 driver, and now sports car (think Le Mans) driver. He had a huge crash at Le Mans this year unfortunately! It has been rumoured for a while that he is the new stig - and I was light-heartedly suggesting you ladies could compare - er - bum profiles - to come to some sort of conclusion! |

I saw Stig Blomqvist drive an old Group B at Autosport International the first year I managed to get there - he's still got it all right!
Anthony Davidson does have a very nice bottom. Then again, an awful lot of racing drivers do. Not that I've noticed at all...
