I would love the chance to sing Carmina Burana, specifically because I foolishly missed out on doing that at uni. I was in the choir, and in my first year the big annual project was Handel's Messiah, which I enjoyed and knew well from previous choirs.
However, by the second year I was vice-president of the Student's Union and decided to skip the big project - I was so busy and I didn't know the piece anyway. My room-mate pleaded with me and said I'd love it, but I couldn't be swayed. Stupid me! I went to hear it and fell in love immediately. I still ask around to see if any groups are doing it so I can take part!

Carl Orff's CARMINA BURANA. I've sung this abut 5 times and I love it more and more! My cat used to sing O Fortuna. "O for tuna, Lovely tuna, It is my favorite dish..." You get the point. He wasn't big on the Latin. |
