Thanks mg Burt is one of the best songwriters in the world (this must sound bizarre coming from a Flaming Lips fan  ) but when you weigh up the classics he has written - think the Carpenters - he is a total star. I used to have a vinyl album of him singing his greatest hits in the 70's. It was a masterclass in how to write a great song ;D |

I think we should retire for the night before we frighten off the 'normal' people  If you want to listen to a songwriter in the same class as Burt, give Paul Williams a whirl. You'll get a shock when you realise what classics he's written ;D |
