Yes, he's on the MPH website and the e-mails they send out if you sign up... Stiggy was on the left in the earlier e-mails, now replaced by the Sensitive Haired One.

Post by dutchdiva on Aug 7, 2008 14:03:42 GMT
it would cost between 2500 and 3000 euro here in Holland and then you only have a license

|
Post by wildcathammondette on Aug 7, 2008 14:07:04 GMT
wow that is a lot!! Here it's like 50 for the theoritical classes, 120 per hour of driving with instructor and then like 600 to 800 for the chosen program... not cheap either

Post by dutchdiva on Aug 7, 2008 14:10:31 GMT

I am really sorry you two don't have driver's licenses, but in my defense I am not 16 or 17 or what ever it is now so I can't have a driver's license whether I want one or not. Hope you get your license Wildcat, and hopefully before TGL! If not we can all . . . um . . . ooo tell James that we will only be happy if he gives us all a big hug. ;D :)xX~LPS~Xx

Would it be inappropriate for me to remark at this time that getting a driver's license in the US (at least in Kentucky where I live) is free? Of course classes cost about $350, but you aren't required to get them. But on the other hand the insurance is ridiculous, especially if you live in a rural area, are a young man or drive a foreign made car. My son is all of these and his insurance runs almost as m uch as his payment on his car.

I believe it cost me over £500 to learn and continues to cost £700 a year to insure me.

That insurance rate sounds comparable to ours here.
