this is a bit of useless information but kind of NTA related - as found on Dean Andrews' (Ray from Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes) Blog

"We also went to the NTAs, which was a great event, made even more special by the amount of Life on Mars fans that had made the journey to say hello to us all. Myself and Phil get snatched on the Red Carpet, so we could be part of the opening credits, which you all hopefully caught. We were then interviewed by Kelly Osbourne, which I dont think was aired. Once inside, I offered Jeremy Clarkson a scrap outside for slagging Rotherham off in the press, about 7 years ago..............he declined ha. It was all done in fun, as I was telling him how I went to school with James May from the age of 5yrs, which then brought up that Jeremy used to be a journalist for Rotherham's local newspaper, which brought up the fact that he slagged Rotherham off, which then brought up the offer of violence.......phew!! Again all done in fun, and well done to Jeremy for his achievement award"
