Well, thought that would happen I'm afraid. Bafta likes to play it safe every year. No Jezza either, probably thoroughly sick of all the negative publicity. Well boys, have a good drink tonight and well done anyway.

I know what you mean, Ly. The lads have done really well out of the awards season though, and they deserve to be proud of themselves. Love 'em to bits

Gordon would have been my second choice, so I'm happy for him but his programme doesn't match the standard of Top Gear, the filming, the work, the talent behind the scenes and the risks they take.

As I said on HH, not the end of the world, the guys are not going to loose any sleep over this and better luck next year. Jezza was expected to turn up, there was picture of the seating arrangements with his picture, so I'm surprised he wasn't there.

I always say it's the ones who don't win who are the better programmes. (Harry Hill for instance er....sorry I don't think so). Like you said Lew, Life on Mars far superior but nope, not PC enough. Not the end of the world no Linden, but rather weary of the arse kissing in this world I'm afraid. Jeremy was a wise man. I hope he's doing something better with his evening.

It was in all fairness a hell of a shortlist, and very diverse - there was no way I could have called that one. Still, you know what the BAFTAS are like, they do seem to like avoiding making any decisions that might possibly be seen as too "populist", but at least Gordon was what I'd consider "proper" competition and I do love his stuff too...

Gordon would have been my second choice See, I think they should have lost to The Secret Millionaire, that programme was amazing. I've never found Ramsay entertaining or funny. Neither him or his programme appeal to me. sorry for any offence caused but I can't stand the guy. He shouldn't have won. Sorry.

Why are you apologizing? It's a free country, last time I checked. Freedom of opinion and all that.

That's OK. My second choice coz I find him strangely attractive and I hadn't watched the others so I couldn't judge. One day TG will be presented with one of those Special Awards when it ends and Jezza has retired to raise chickens.

LOL! I can just see it now, with his motor powered zimmer frame calling them over and having a hunch from driving too many cars with bad suspension and uncomfortable seats xD

Lots of nerdy blinking and twitching. He almost couldn't get a word in edgeways past Hammond ;D Utterly adorable. So handsome. (I've got it bad today .)

I love that clip, it's brilliant.
And I've just noticed that after they cut back to the studio, Hammond turns around again (while James is dragging him off after Andy) and mugs at the camera ;D
