Hmm James writing for the Sun..... :S I guess he somehow had to pay for those fancy SriLankan resorts he went to, otherwise there is no excuse.

Hmm, I notice this is written in quite a simple style to appeal to Sun readers but surely they wouldn't understand this sentence: "In fact, beneath Kent and Sussex there’s a huge swathe of nourishing cretaceous chalk", although brings it back to their level by saying: "Blighty".
Doesn't mention anything about him buying any, though.

I don't have the book yet either, but I am looking forward to the next episode. I've just watched this for the tenth time. The Sun article was really good, since he mentioned the same thing in one of the interviews. If he actually did buy some land there and run a vineyard, I'd buy his wine. I'd love to try his gin that he made.

Me neither Mojo - hopefuuly it's arriving from amazon tomorrow and it will remain untouched by human hand until James gets hold of it!!! ;D Interesting article - I know the Ridgeway Vine Yard having lived very close to this area Ditchling Common a while ago. Its actually a very ok wine. Hope this is the series it will be good to see again. I'd offer my services for grape picking any day!!! I like "horny handed toil" ;D

I just realized that 1. James wears the original blue flowery shirt on the first episode of all three seasons of Oz and James and 2. I need to get out more. Yes I had noticed this too, although i wasn't going to say anything. It is a lovely thread of continuity throughout the 3 series
