I've just joined a ukulele band.  One of the Aussie boys plays a uke therefore Aussie TG trumps yankie TG at the moment. |

I suspect all TG's will trump American TG. I've had a bad feeling about it all along. I really don't like Adam Carolla, he confuses being "non-PC" with being obnoxious.

I despise Adam Carolla - his "Man Show" programme was deeply unpleasant and misogynist. I agree with you that the American TG will probably tank. I don't see how they can critique cars when, as a necessity, commercial television has to keep chummy with the advertisers.

I don't know this Adam Carolla but he's sounding an odd choice. Why have they chosen him? Even Americans hate him. Maybe they want it to bomb and that way TG UK will become huge in the States and Jezza can move to Beverly Hills. ;D

I once "caught" my son watching the Man Show and lectured him for an hour. Nothing but bashing women, not even in an exploitative way, just a mean way. |

I read on the Sunday People site that Jezza is going to do guest spots on the new US show such as testing cars etc.  I haven't posted the article as that was the only new bit on it. The rest was rattling on about how upset James and Richard will be about this and how they've got their new salary deals.  |

Hmmm I'd tune in to watch Jeremy. I wonder if he would be interacting with the American hosts at all - maybe as an antagonist, seeing as he's not too fond of Americans and/or likes to tweak us about being fat, xenophobic and stupid.

Just had to put my two cents worth in here. I'm just dreading TG America. I can't stand Adam Carolla for all the reasons already listed. Eric Strommer is really good looking but he's a carpenter! How does that qualify him to speak authoritatively on anything automotive besides pickup trucks? And I don't even know who the third guy is. I guess if we can avoid making comparisons between TGA and the original maybe it will be okay, but I don't know that I can do that.

My son thinks that Charles Barkley (former pro basketball player here) should be on the American Top Gear. He says he doesn't know if he knows anything about cars, but he speaks his mind and he's funny. |

Perhaps minds that think like a child's never grow old? Or at least that's what I'm hoping for. I would say that in the future I will proof read more thoroughly, but it gave everyone (well at least 2 people) a laugh so I won't. |
