Apparently, James is going to be on BBC breakfast tomorrow, presumably talking about Big Ideas. I didn't hear the news myself, I'm just basing it on a semi-illiterate post on HH, but might be worth setting the video just in case!

Oh God, I absolutely hate these morning shows. But I'll set the recorder just in case, so if he's on, I can fast forward to his bit.

I've set the DVD recorder, but I have no idea how to change the file type to be able to upload it. I'll have a fiddle but I'm sure that someone else will be able to do it properly.

I would recycle them....but my nearest battery recyc place is over five miles away. And when you don't drive, and it's a hilly area, that's a long way to go.

That explains. Here in Holland you can leave them at loads of places like supermarkets etc. Sweet kid that was on just now. I hope he met James backstage and that James mentioned to him he was a choir boy as well.

When I lived in England in the early nineties, I was absolutely mystified that I had to just throw away paper and glass waste. I contacted the city coucil to enquire if any recylcing was going on and they suggested I should contact the Green Party.

We get some things collected from homes. It depends on the area you live in, as to what gets taken though. Where I am, we get paper, tin cans and plastic bottles taken. My mum gets those, and glass as well. She has a foil collection box at the shops near her house, but we don't get that here, so we either throw it, or I collect it up and give it to mum when I go to see her.

On the street where my flat is, the houses on the opposite side of the road have their recycling collected, but the flats and houses on my side of the street don't and I have/had to take it to ASDA/Tesco

We have excellent recyling facilities where I live. We bung everything recyclable into boxes and it gets collected from the doorstep every week (including batteries). But it's not compulsory and lots of people just throw stuff away in the regular bin, presumably because they're too lazy.
Chez Clarkson, I should mention, always has its recycling boxes out. But shhh... don't tell anyone Jezza is a secret green...
