I had a problem with some medication once. It made me act very oddly and people were staring at me when I was wandering around Superdrug. I realised I was was singing at the top of my voice, and I was singing something not terribly appropriate - a song by Tenacious D that gives certain instructions on how to, er, please a lady ;D

Haha! That is most excellent. I wear my mp3 player all the time and regularly I can be found wandering around Tesco, (I hate shopping) singing to myself, and not that good a singer I am either.

We've all had those moments I was walking down the school corrider and sung: "But by night i'm one hell of a lover..." just as my maths teacher appeared next to me... strange looks we're exchanged before I hurried off

There was an incident like that when I was at school too. There was a cookery room on the ground floor, just above the Principal's Office and a teacher, who was notorious for being a bit verbally saucy, not a pervert teacher or anything like that, just a bit 'Carry On' and there was a burning smell coming from the cookery room. I and a classmate were walking down the corridor and he was walking up and he said 'Can you smell burning?' and I, just as a bit of a joke, said 'Yes, it's your seedy underlife.' And from that day on, he could never look me in the face again. I think I may have touched on a nerve. Never found out what it was though.

I have my Stiggy Advent Calendar! ;D
And a Dalek one for my oldest nephew, a High School Musical one for the middle one (yes, I know...) and Winnie the Pooh for my neice. The other nephew will need a football one seeking out from somewhere.

I haven't been able to get a Stiggy one! Neither of the Superdrugs in Plymouth have them and neither did Woolworths However, MF - Woolies did have some football ones. It all depends who your nephew supports... someone like Liverpool, Man U or Chelsea shouldn't be too difficult, but if he's into a team like Derby County or Jarrow Roofing Boldon Community Association (yes, that is a real team) it might be a bit trickier...

Now that's where it becomes a minefield. Someone bought a Man U thing of some sort for my Liverpool-supporting nephew. It didn't go down well

I have a friend who lives in Accrington.
I will check which team he supports first. I can remember sooooo well being on the receiving end of well meaning but just not quite right pressies!

I can remember sooooo well being on the receiving end of well meaning but just not quite right pressies! Ohh yes. Like the auntie who forgot how old i was, and got me some M+S vouchers for Christmas one year. When I was eight years old. I swapped them for 'proper' money with my mum, bought loads of toys and sent my dear geriatric auntie a thank you note with a photo of what I'd bought. I think it confused her...M+S didn't exactly stock many toys back then LOL

Funnily enough, I was tempted to suggest Accrington Stanley ;D It's such an evocative name. I always picture them playing in heavy brown leather boots, long, baggy shorts, long sleeved shirts and flat caps. In black and white with lots of scratches and crackles. According to Wikipedia, though, I'm thinking of the "original" Accrington Stanley and the one that plays now isn't it See? I know nothing about football!

I think he supports West Ham, but if it's Arsenal or Spurs, there'd be real trouble if he got a West Ham calendar! Having said that, it may well be Arsenal...
I don't think it's Spurs because that's the team all my Dad's family supported and I'm fairly sure it's not the same...
I thought for years the town was called Accrington Stanley, I didn't realise the Stanley bit was just the football team until I went there to buy a motorbike!
