I'm back (had a bit of a bad journey back and I wholey sympathise with James on needing to follow Richard to Dunsfold) It was amazing ;D I'll give you a full report tomorrow, the pictures are rubbish, sadly none with James due to time and things. James kindly signed a sugar packet for me, so I imagine he thinks I'm a little lala. Richard signed a Top Trump card for me sadly Jeremy was busy and crowded. They were off to Earls Court to rehearse for MPH. Left home at 6.30am in the snow. Caught bus to Oxford, purchased disgustingly large bacon and egg bap, consumed said item, waited for train, which was late, boarded train*, arrived in London, tubed to Brixton and arrived at 11am PRECISELY and got berated for my choice of skirt (which was, apparently, a ‘belt’ LOL). After a quick drink at The Sun (which now has printed direction to the airfield on the bar, presumably because they’re fed up of being asked) we made our way to the airfield, where a very grumpy security guard (who wasn’t from Applause Store and seemed to know very little about what was going on) ummed and ahhed about letting us in because we were all female, despite the fact that Applause Store had said it would be OK when Mo checked, and despite the fact that lots of all-male groups were there. So it might be something to bear in mind for the future that if you do get tickets you either need conformation on an email from Applause Store that all girls is OK, or take a chap to be on the safe side. Anyway, we got into the car park, completed the quiz and marvelled at the fact that the burger van is now an entire building with seating and a range of food and proper loos and everything. Sadly, en route to said building I managed to whack my leg on a crash barrier, which bloody hurt (and ripped a hole in my tights). D’oh… That eejit from Applause Store gathered us at 2pm and worpled on for a bit about… something, dunno, wasn’t listening. Then we walked to the Hallowed Hangar and managed to get a pretty good spot behind Jezza, so look out for us on Sunday – Bre is in the Help for Heroes shirt (which Jezza said was ‘cool’), Soapbubble is in the ‘I Am The Stig’ t-shirt (Jezza told her she wasn’t), Mo is in the purple top and I’m… well, I’m a ginger. Brian the Director told some bad jokes whilst wearing a very VERY bad jumper (you know the handknitted sort you get given at Christmas by your nan and only wear to be polite? Worse than that…) and then Jezza came onto the stage wearing… A Shirt Of Much Nastiness. James (who apparently was having a heart attack but was doing a rather unconvincing impression of being ill) was wearing A Lovely Shirt Of Much Loveliness Which Is Worrying Similar To Jezza’s, and Richard (who was dressed like he was going out on the pull in a gay club, frankly) needs a haircut sharpish, before the amount of Elnet needed to keep it under control causes a fire hazard. James spotted me and there was a definite twinge of recognition in his eyes, which made me blush furiously… I won’t give too much away about the content of the show, but basically: - Lamborghinis are nice. And fast. But not that fast, all things considered…
- Richard likes to masturbate to pictures of Jeremy suffering injuries, apparently. Eww.
- Jeremy can’t pronounce the word ‘masturbate’ correctly.
- Jeremy has stopped thinking James is gay and is now making jokes about him being old instead (and about him getting excited in the trouseral area by the make up lady. He wasn’t. I was looking…)
- Great news! Something was said about the Dacia Sandero!
- Richard does not wear boxer shorts (!!!) and does not shop at Boden. Oddly, James stayed very quiet during that conversation because he blatantly shops there all the time.
- Jeremy has bad taste in jackets.
- Parky is a legend.
- Lorry driving is hard work and very dangerous but extremely funny unless you are Jeremy, in which case it is extremely painful AND extremely funny.
- Also, I seem to have developed an enormous knee-wibbly crush on Andy Wilman…
In the break, Jezza disappeared but lots of people got a quick moment with Richard, and I managed to ACTUALLY SPEAK TO JAMES without having a panic attack which surprised me greatly, and he said ‘Becks? You’re THAT Becks…’ and gave me a smile which made me all glowy and warm inside, and he is now the proud owner of a ‘pieslut’ badge. Woo! All in all, it should be a fab episode! Thank you Mo, for the ticket and the lift. *Interestingly, I found out this morning that the M40 was closed all day yesterday due to a massive lorry crash which caused one of them to shed its load – a tanker full of lard (LOL!) – across the entire road… So my last minute decision to f*ck the expense and take the train was the correct one! |

Tis a funny feeling, I remember thinking "oh is that it" and then the next day feeling upset, because I wanted to do it again and would do it differently.......but it's rather nice when you watch TG you think "there's the hanger doors" and there's and that.
