Great pics, MF Look the look on Richard's face in the last one. And Dutch - I can see the red in your hair in those photos! It's definitely a different colour from last time you were over!

Great pics, MF Look the look on Richard's face in the last one. That was where XJ had just explained the queue was too long last year and she hadn't been able to get On The Edge signed then. Richard was saying sorry!

It's more visible in the photos than in real life, Dutch. MF, you've once again done a great job with your camera. Yes, a brilliant time was had by all. Second time lucky for me! ;D Thankfully, the queue was a fraction of the size of that at Bluewater last year. Despite my not arriving and meeting up with the others until less than an hour before the start of the signing, I had no problem at all joining the queue, although I couldn't stand with the others, of course. MF was good enough to come and join me after she had finished taking photos of the others meeting Richard. As it happens, I didn't have too long to wait in the queue, as interaction with Richard was being kept to a minimum, and so the queue was moving quite quickly. He was very friendly and pleasant, and looking rather good, I have to say! He was so sweet as well: when I briefly explained the reason for my bringing On The Edge as well as the book due to be signed that day (ie. being turned away at Bluewater last year), he looked a bit contrite, put his fingers to his mouth and said, "Oh, sorry!" Bless him! It was all over pretty quickly, but well worth going there! I have now met all three TG presenters, and I have not just one, but two books signed by Richard. Let's just say I'm very happy indeed! ;D

I'm glad you were able to get both of your books signed, XJ. He looks great in these pictures and that was really sweet of him too.

I think there was a range of reasons the queue was that much shorter this time around. One was the rubbish weather, the second was the choice of venue (chav central and right in the middle close enough- Bluewater is a better location for getting to if you are an out-of-towner) The third was how badly it was reported to be happening. If I wasn't a member here I would never have known about it and I don't live far away. There was a sign at the door but only one and with a crowd in front of it. People kept asking what was going on and who it was who was there!!!! It's also not a good place to queue as it was right in a gang way for other shoppers. I imagine people queued as they arrived rather than hrs in advance like the rest of us! But I am glad we did. We were some of the first to see him and I heard him being welcomed and saw him come in, right through the front door without minders or anything like that.

Piccie from Starfish... Sorry for the slight blurriness! I finally got to meet Richard. I had a great day & it was nice to hang out with some of thel ladies from the board. I found Richard friendly. As I greeted him I got to shake his hand. I asked him if he would look to my camera & he gave a nice smile unfortunately I was shaky hense the blurryness. Thank you Stiga for posting my picture for me. Afterwards we all hung out & had lunch together. I might ad not not with Hammond lol. I only have Jeremy to meet now. I did however receive a signed book of his through the post on Friday as I had placed my order with the book shop. Thank you so much to Duch & Mf for the photos.

Why did I not think about shacking his hand? I think I was still in shock that he ask me how I was.

Yeah for some reason I was shocked that that was his first comment. I was like 'erm, excited!' And he didn't seem to believe it so he said 'Are you?' and I said 'Yes'. D'oh.

Well I went with a friend and this was my 10th meeting/seeing Richard..We arrived VERY early as Bluewater was a nightmare last year! We ended up being first in the queue! I was REALLY surprised was expecting there to be a few people there, but as others said probably the weather and the fact it wasnt that well advertised.. we were the first! The time flew by and Rich actually turned up early..wow he looked gorgeous as ever and he greeted me with those gorgeous brown eyes and that lovely smile of his! It was an all too brief meeting but nice all the same! We exchanged a few words before it was time to move on...I hung around just to see him signing for a while but i had to hide away from the staff behind the magazine stand! I could just see him! Then i had to endure a 5 hour train journey home (which usually takes 2 hours!) but as ever it was ALL worth it!! ;D
