So is anyone going to the lego house to help out? Am I correct in understanding they need more volunteers as I'm free all next week. ;D

I'm not free at all next week, except for Monday and I understand they're not building on Monday as it's Bank Holiday. Unless they're up on the Sunday, as I do have that Sunday going begging. Otherwise - busy.

Well I might email that person and see if they need help next week. I have some spare time coming up and lego building would be great. As James is on holiday I'd feel more comfortable about it too Have a great time Jacqui by the way. I'm sure you'll do some fine work.

This is an open board......pm me if you see anything you don't like....ink and jacqui were joking....that's what we do on this board. And I refuse to fight over a man......sorry, but that's how it is....chill. Hi, this is Heidi using rnadom's account for a bit while on holiday - yay for google phones. I was orignally told that posts i'd taken *off* final gear after we were asked not to post progress reports had been reposted here. The post that was quoted was one I made after that, and so I don't mind that being repeated, but I would rather be asked and credited if I'm being quoted verbatim. Anyway - I'm only interested in getting the lego house done at the moment, so if people are prepared to come along and work 9-5 some time Tuesday onwards, I would welcome them but I'm *not* part of plum and I don't know what arrangements they've made. Some days I've had three people turn up and have them press-gang their families, other days I've had so many people we've run out of space, so if you are thinking of coming along, don't travel too far. Also - don't expect that even if james is there he'll have time for photos or autographs, as he's there to film, it's not like the public days.

Shame heidi, wished you'd joined under your own steam......unfortunately when your not in the know it's hard to decide what to post and not, so if any are able to build go and reap.

If people are so interested in letting the Board know what's going on you would think that they would take the time to register.

Is there such a thing as Lego'itis Had a really enjoyable day building in the sunshine ;D Once again sunburnt for the cause that is James May ;D Not really now have quite a nice tan.... thanks James The house is awesome, huge congrats to all those involved in the design and building technologies ;D 'Lego James' very kindly run us up to the house by car and gave us a guided tour of the inside too (I can now say I've been in James' bedroom ;D and bathroom ) I won't go in to detail so as not to spoil too much or post my pics, not that they are much different to what's been seen already, just the odd one Unfortunately a few people did disappear after only an hour there - "just going to the loo" - yeah right Don't know what they were expecting can only imagine they wanted their 15 minutes of fame and soon found out they weren't going to get it I will go again work permitting if they still need help towards the end of the week. In summary the house is fab, go see it if you can the view across the Vineyard is amazing, you forget GB has such beautiful countryside sometimes. I really enjoyed it and found it very theraputic especially after a very stressful week at work ;D

Thanks jacqui. Really making me want to go along this week. It's quite an easy drive too for me. Well done - glad your heart was in the right place, unlike some people by the sounds of things.

A plee If anyone is going this week can they ask/put a few feelers out as to wether they will need help this weekend? I suppose it depends how the week goes. My boss has gone down with man flu ::)and is off sick this week which means I'm chained to my desk as the next in line I may go anyway as it's a short journey for me, but it would be nice to know ;D

Edit: I found out people from Plum are not very happy with this video. That's why I deleted the link. It's still on YouTube, if you really want to see it. Some kid who helped out put up this video. He looks rather moody and I can't tell whether he even liked being there. He definitely liked being on camera though. Well, that's puberity, I gues. The video contains some spoilers about furniture, so don't watch if you don't want to know!

I loved it when he said that getting a clear shot of James May is like being Steve Irwin tracking wildlife.
And is that a Lego Fusker I see at 5:03?

Well, you can sort of sense that deep down there is a really nice sweet kid that is trying to get out, but can't. Give it a few more years and he 'll be fine.
