Oh Jeremy *hugs*... I'm totally on side with this... Animal cruelty is one of the the closest things to my heart, and some of the stories I've heard lately have literally reduced me to tears

I can understand people who lose there jobs can't afford big vet bill's but if your dog is fine i can't see why your can't afford to feed it. But IF you lose your job and have to claim benefits the RSPCA (don't get me started ), PDSA or Blue Flag will help out. As I said, any excuse is good enough for some people

Thank you Liz I have been in the situation in the past of losing my house (giving it back to the building society, not selling it) and still managed to find somewhere to rent where I could keep the dogs. It's all a matter of how much you want to and how hard you try. Too many take the easy route and the animals are the ones who suffer

I could post for hours on the atrocities I've heard about, but it would upset me too much... even now, I've just had to wake the cat to give her a hug... if any cruelty stories come on the news, hubby has to turn over (but not before passing me the tissues) I think (present company excepted), I love animals more than humans!

You wouldn't be the only one. I would never regard myself as an animal person, but by the same token, I am normal (relatively speaking ) and I certainly don't condone cruelty towards them. Animals and I have a relationship whereby I leave them alone and they leave me alone. Apart from the ones with wings, when they fly at me, I nearly sh*t myself!

I am not a animal lover but i would never dream of miss treating a animal. I still live at home so i have to rub a long with my dad's dog Ben. I brought Ben for my dad after he had a by pass and the doctor said he had to walk a mile a day and my dad said he felt silly walking about town just for the sake of it so i brought him the dog so he did not have a excuse to get out of it ;D but my plan back fired he nows uses dog walks as a way to have a fag because for some reason he thinks we will not smell it on him.

I am all for change has long as it is done properly a lot of our town was pulled down and rebuild in the 60s and 70s but the old buildings look like there in much better shape then the buildings from the 60s 70s and early 80s. But in the case of my secondly school i think the major problem was Mrs thatcher cutting the budget after they had started building than doggy builders.(i mean who needs walls in there class rooms )

Poor tortise.
Actually, I don't need all that junk in my car to make me happy. I just need a car that works and will pass its MOT every year.

Shock, horror, Jeremy's as normal as the rest of us, quietly doing his bit while wondering at the madness of the world in general. No wonder I love him

Very good and so true, sadly. Much as I'd like to climb a mountain, paint a picture or murder my neighbours, sadly all I will do today is the washing up and watch the Grand Prix. ;D
