This one is after his Science talk at the Cheltenham Science festival and no doubt he'll be busy. Richard Hammond signings always are. So get there early and prepare for lots of girls and a huge queue.

That is something that I was wondering this morning, why are the guys new books being released in the Summer as opposed to October/November so that we get them for Xmas time?
Could it mean that we are in for a treat at the end of the year?

Because this is for the paperback of the one recording his trips to the North Pole and Africa - As you Do. He has a second book coming out later about caravans and another called Did I say that? continuing from As you do.. As for James's book who knows but maybe it's the only time it can come out and he has got the other Toy Stories book coming out nearer Christmas. It's better they are spread out as they'd be too heavy to carry.

That's a good point. And as for Jeremy, his book arrives in August but we have his DVD special at the end of the year too.

His hardback books are always in the winter as he does all the interviews as well as for his DVD. It makes commercial sense.

Yeah that's true but according to Amazon his Driven To Distraction book is Hardback and is released in August, unless they have their facts muddled again.

I went to Richards signing- well I should say we - my mate Lesa went with me. We beetled down from North Notts and foun d Waterstones and nearly melted cos the shop was so hot, and we MET HIM and had photos taken. He was really cute. AND VERY KIND ( GEE luigi that didnt need big letters ) .Kind cos I asked him to sign a book to "Katie and Olivia" and as he signed he aasked who they are. Katies my bestest pal who I raarely see cos we live hundreds of miles apart, but she's like a good sister, and Olivia is her car. This made hbim smile, but he did the fatal - " Oh what sort of car is it ?" . Did I know? "Um well a Vauxhall sporty thing - cant remember - a T....? " end of conversation , 'cept he looked at me and said ( with another smile ) I signed it from me and Oliver. " i said I hoped he would, and he said something like it was no big deal , and have a nice weekend.
Thing is NOW I wish I'd asked him to sign mine to Leo as well, and maybe Oliver would have signed. How sad am I ?

I love Richard's hair in those pics! The longer the better as far as I am concerned!! He is looking mighty hot! Thanks for sharing the links and photos everyone!

I think Jeremy's going to get some hair-related teasing in the next series. It's a serious case of two against one now!
I quite like the longer hair, but Richard now puts me in mind of a shorter version of Shaggy from Scooby Doo - though MF has just pointed out to me that Top Gear Dog doesn't really have the Scooby Doo 'feel'...

Not really, if she is as bad with ghosts as she was with sheep, they wouldn't get anywhere! Incidentally, Scooby Doo is one of those shows I never liked, it always annoyed me, but then again, the majority of Kids TV did that to me anyway.

I love Scooby Doo, but as a kid, I preferred Captain Caveman

I was a Skeletor and He-Man girl. He captivated me and it wasn't until many years later that I found out why. I do have a thing for huge muscle men.
