What you see is what you get ;D A very down to earth all round good bloke Yes, he was so familiar it was like talking to an old friend, (which to me, of course, he was, but from his point of view I expect he just saw me as yet another old bat he had to be polite to), he kept shaking his hair back and had his hands in his pockets, just as you always see him. I think he is shy though and has learned to cover it up. He looked at me when he was talking, but never met my husband's eyes though he was talking to us both. Shortie, I'm sorry you are referring to James aren't you? (blame exhaustion )

You know Shortie, when I watch James on TV, I wonder sometimes just how nervous he gets before an interview, or a live show, or even Top Gear, I know TG is recorded, but it still amazes me how he seems so calm. Wonders if he is good at putting people at ease, a lot of famous people don't know how to. I think for me it would have to be just looking into those eyes and remembering to breath.

No! Not Alan Titchmarsh! James' eyes met mine across a sea of heads. 'Shorts!' he shouted,'I've been waiting for you. Where on earth have you been?' 'James,' I called, pushing my way through the crowd of women and small boys, 'There are just so many people I couldn't get through.' As the space between us closed his voice lowered, 'Chuck me that sausage butty and where is the tea?' he grumbled. 'Now, look here, May,' Shortie sn ................... ________________________________________________________ Oh, sorry, should have been in the fanfics
