Our cat is now 5 months (i think) and all she does is poo,eat & sleep. She's not that playfull. Altough the door is open, she doesn't leave the house. All she wants to do is sit on our lap. I never had such a sleepy cat.

I've found a hilarious twitter account called @thef**kingCat (only without the asterisks) which purports (see what I did there?) to be observations from a particularly wicked puss. Some of them are really cat-accurate
Holy fvck me! You stepped on me! You've killed me! It hurts so bad! I'm dead! Oh the pain! I'm ok.
Most of the time I'm running around the house, I'm running from ghosts. Do you think I'm just running for my fvcking health here?
Just had a bath. I'm going to murder something.
I do what I want, when I want, I'm the fvcking cat..got that? Ok. Be back in a bit, I'm being locked in the bathroom until company leaves.
It's made me howl (I'm doing it again) with laughter, but don't go there if you're offended by the word 'f**k'.

Sad news, have just heard that Kit Smart has died. Kit was the resident cat at my son's college at Cambridge, and much loved by one and all, especially me. The nice part is that they have got special dispensation to dig up part of one of the lawns to bury him and then erect a small headstone. I shall go and pay my repects next time I am down that way.

What is it with cats that no matter how clever you think you're being before a vet's visit, they always suss it out? I thought I'd got it down to a fine art, but my old lady, even though she has long-term kidney failure (she's quite bright in herself so far, touch wood) knew just as I was about to swoop and fling her into her carrying basket and disappeared into the depths of the house despite me having shut all the doors - or so I thought!
We arrived an hour late, but they know us at the vet's, thank goodness.

It's like those squeezy flea drop things you put on the back of their necks. Even if you snip the top off in another room, by the time you go back for the cat, there's only a gap where the cat used to be.

My mother's cat has an eye problem and has to have eyedrops twice a day. Mom is a methodical woman and medicates her cat at the same time daily. When Ivy is feeling stroppy, she'll disappear just before it's eyedrops o'clock. She is usually to be found hiding either in the linen cupboard or beneath Dad's lounge chair. This is her uncannily canny cat. My own two are Minnie and Griswald. Minnie is a Siamese mix with the softest fur I've ever known a cat to have. It's like bunny fur. She is mostly a fairly sweet little cat, but she has a mischievous side and occasionally she just gets tetchy and cross and starts fights with the other cat and the dog. The Other Cat being Griswald, a long-haired, dimwitted, food-obsessed beast whose sheer goodwill makes up for his utter lack of any good sense. He comes into the bathroom at night when I'm having a bath. Almost every time, he ends up letting his tail drape into the water. When he finally jumps down, the soggy end of his tail smacks him in the arse and freaks him out. EVERY TIME. Literally, this is a daily occurrence, yet he never figures it out. Minnie is the white-and-ginger; Griswald is the fluffy black one.

Your mother's cat looks strikingly like one of my neighbor's Burmese/Himalayan mix cats. Their other one is almost pure black. I've been taking care of them while my neighbors went to England for the Christmas holiday. ;D
Griswald and Minnie look so sweet napping together. ;D

Griswald and Minnie only admit tolerating each other when the weather is cold. Then, they will cuddle together to share body heat. Because I'm a cheap b*st*rd, my cats have to forge a truce during this time of year. They are rather charming when they endeavour to get along.

Love Griswald's expression; it's a sort of "Why is this ginger arse in my face?" look.

My cat is pregnant and it can be any day now. I never experienced this so i am pretty nervous. Don't know why,i just panic really fast.
Yesterday i woke up because i heard kittens,a lot of them, crying. I jumped out of bed, opened my door and i saw my husband with his cell phone next to the door. There were no kittens. It was his new ringtone. Oh i was so mad.

Your husband has a warped sense of humor, melly. I'm sure your cat's pregnancy and birth will go without a hitch. A couple years ago, we took in a stray cat at our office. It was February and bitterly cold outside. I couldn't turn her away. She looked to be about 6 months old and did not appear pregnant. However after about a week of looking for a home for her she greeted me at the office door one morning looking very svelte. She had given birth to two kittens during the night. All by herself, as nature intended, she gave birth. She was so proud of her kittens. All day long she kept guiding people to her box to see them! The next day, I was able to place her in a no-kill cat shelter. They weighed the kittens when I brought them in. They were each less than an ounce! A few months later, the shelter notified me that the mother (who I named Emily) and both her kittens had new homes! Here is a slightly blurry picture of Emily with her wee ones! ;D Keep us posted on your cat's progress! ;D

SEVEN? You'll be up to your knees in energetic little fluffballs soon, then. ;D I'm a bit jealous, actually. Havent't had a cat for ages, and I love them to bits. Unfortunately I'm allergic, so I just can't take the chance. I have to make do with the cats of friends and family. Luckily I'm not so allergic I can't cuddle a bit once in a while, as long as I've taken my pills and/or am prepared for a bit of sniffling. (Pictures? Pretty please? ;D)

I can tell you,we thought there were six kittens but not seven. The last one came as a surprise. It came 1,5 hour after the last one. And the other came all after 30 minutes. Here is a picture but you can't see them all because they are laying on eachother. They are so cute. And our Lizzy did it great.

Oh, they are adorable! I want ... Seems your Lizzy is a better mum than the cat I had when I was a child. She gave birth to two kittens in a shoe, in the innermost corner of a wardrobe. We didn't even know she was pregnant, and suddenly we started hearing kittens in the room. A few years later, she decided she wanted kittens without being pregnant. What did she do? She stole them from a stray/wild cat who'd sought shelter in the shed, one by one as they were born, and dumped them on our doorstep. When we opened the door in the morning, there was a heap of kittens outside, and one grown cat sitting beside them, proud as anything. "Look what I found!" One of them almost died from exposure before we found them, poor little things. (Also, looking at that picture, I want to smell them. ;D I love the smell of tiny kittens. Am I crazy?) (Edit: After all that work, Lizzy deserves to have her name spelled right. )

All the animals do but we as human not. Well, not like them i mean. I'm happy that all the cats are alive because seven kittens, that's a lot.
