Good start. Interesting about the viewing figures - and a sad indictment on the viewing tastes of the British public! I gave it an eight - because it was good and I enjoyed it, but no higher because I have enjoyed other ones more: just personal taste. Totally agree crumbs, I'll say no more on that subject ....Though I tossed a coin whether I was going to watch Garrow's Law or TG, TG won ;D......now who voted for Tiff, that has made me laugh ;D Do we have a closet Tiff fan amongst us ;D

One question I have - I noticed that Jeremy said that the USA is about the only country where TG isn't screened, anybody know why? Judging by comments here and on the TG web site there are lots of TG fans in the USA. Top Gear does air in the US. If you get BBC America, you get Top Gear. The most recent season they've shown is 12. Personally, I download the episodes from a bit torrent so I've seen all the new stuff, and James' various Toy shows but most people don't go through all that. I think Jezza was just saying that to be funny. As is his way.

I like Tiff - don't fancy him, but he looks like the sort of bloke that if you knew him you'd like him.

It's a no win situation for TG this season I'm afraid. Either X Factor results or I'm a so-called Celebrity will dent them big time. There is Xtra Factor on ITV2 to take into consideration too. Luckily, I could watch that on ITV2+1 at 10 p.m. or they'd be down one more viewer. (Only joking ;D). Enjoyed this episode. Some nice, classic moments but.... and this could just be my current mood taking over here..... I did feel like I'd seen it all before one way or another. Still more entertaining than watching most stuff on the TV though.

I've found the James car review (chauffer Stig?) and the Romania section (watching it now). Hammond has the most adorable grin on his face when he revs the engine for all the kids in the little village.

But there's a but.

...............james' hair...omg.....wht in the world have they done?! OMG I KNOW!!!!!!!!! What happened? ? It looked like it had been flattened in a 80's style flick and then had 3 cans of hairspray on it so i would not move So not a good look - part of James's appeal is the whole floppy "just got out of bed" hair thing going on and they ruined it

Sunday night has a whole new meaning for the next six weeks ;D Ready and waiting I have to wait until Monday or Tuesday when I can download cos I live a long way away and we don't get exciting TV like Top Gear

I really really hope the rest of the series is about James salvaging and restoring his poor Dacia Sandero.
I agree that the characterization is getting a bit tiresome. It would be nice to see them play against type for a change, like Jeremy being slow and cautious and James being reckless.
Also, what's a karsy?

Finally watched this yesterday......I liked it, but yes, I think the 'James getting lost' and 'James having disasters happen to him' things are getting a little tired now. Poor Sandero Loved the bit with the cardboard loo though, that made me chuckle ;D Seriously though, how hard can it be? I used to have to construct similar sorts of things to hold books when I worked at Hammicks, years ago - it's easy to do Jeremy, honestly......

I enjoyed the show. I loved watching James getting thrown around in the back of the car and when the truck bashed into his Dacia it genuinely made me jump. However I do get a slight sense of 'seen it all before',though that's partly my fault for watching endless reruns on Dave.

I think they should do a Dr Who. Not replace them with 26 year olds, (although..... ;D ), but go off air for a year and just spend their time and budget making two very good hour or longer films which are always much more entertaining and not so scripted.

Yes Ly I think that what would rejuvenate the show. It would also give James and Richard time to do their other things and not worry about clashes with TG.

But still, you have to love the part where he's flying up the side of the mountain, hair flying everywhere, shouting "I brought the right car!"

Just now saw the part where Jezza attempts to sit on a cardboard toilet. I nearly cried laughing.

This is on BBC America tonight. One of my all time favorites. That dam is huge and the Romanian kids writing John Cena on the cars.
