I know you should never believe everything you read (especially if it's on Face Book) but I went on the internet and found this: On one of the Face Book TG fan pages there is someone claiming to be Jeremy's cousin saying that Jezza told him the new series will definitly be in July due to the World Cup coverage in June... ;D believe what you will.... don't blame me if it's wrong ;D

Well that does make sense bit of a bummer tho' that means I've two less chances of getting tickets for a recording coz I'm on holiday which makes my chances now..... 1,000,000,000,002 - 1 ;D

Looking at my diary I'm sure I could squeeze a visit in, though I'm not holding my breath but I'd say it would make sense that it was secluded then or rather July

James is filming in Iceland at the moment. Lucky fellow. Must be an amazing place to visit now with all the volcanic activity. Thanks to an Icelandic Final Gear member: April 5 TopGear crew coming to Iceland to see volcanic eruption.... As some of you might know, there is a volcanic eruption here in Iceland and lava has been flowing for a couple of weeks now and it's attracting people from all over the world. Top Gear seems to have taken notice.
Local Icelandic newspaper talked to Emil Grimsson of Arctic Trucks, the Icelandic 4x4 modifiers that provided TopGear with the Hilux's for the Polar challenge. They will be assisting TG here in Iceland.
I'll roughly translate the highlights, which say that an 8 man TG crew with either James May or Richard Hammond will be arriving soon in Iceland to record a scene for a TG episode. The crew will travel up to Fimmvörðuháls volcanic area which sits between Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull in south of Iceland. It doesnt say what they will be doing apart from going up there and seeing the area, but apparently it will be something interesting, like Topgear is known for. It's said they are doing a 2 day shoot in good weather. Bad weather will probably prolong their stay.april 6 James May and a TG filming crew are now in Iceland. Last night (6pm on april 6th) the crew traveled on 6 modified Arctic Trucks over Mýrdalsjökull glacier up to the volcanic area. The trip usually takes about 2 hours but because of a storm the trip up the glacier took 10 hours. They made it to a safe house up on the glacier in the middle of the night and have been resting until this morning, April 7th. The weather is much better now with clear skies and less wind so they will be filming for the next 2 days.

I wonder how many days a year James spends a way from home filming and working on other projects? I often wonder this..... a lot I bet. If you think about this year alone with the TGL "global" tour and now TG programme shoots he's hardly been at home. And it seems that when he is home he's in his "secret" underground car bunker! I do feel a bit sad for Woman and Fusker sometimes..... but I guess they have got used to it over the years and if they weren't happy would have moved on by now. Well Woman anyway I guess Fusker does't have a choice

Well Woman anyway I guess Fusker does't have a choice Oh, believe me, cats can and do move on if they've had enough. My last two cats originally lived with neighbours who, for varying reasons, no longer had cat-friendly houses, and so the cats decided to find alternative lodgings. I should add that it was with the full knowledge of both sets of neighbours! They knew that their cats had decided to move out, and knew where they were. Odd that they'd both choose my house, but then I'm a sucker for a sad-faced cat who wants some love

I'm looking forward to seeing this. I wonder how many days a year James spends a way from home filming and working on other projects? Oh about 360.05 days I reckon, if he didn't enjoy it I'm sure he'd ask me to cover ;D but as he's got the sort of life that's he can at least give it he's best I'm sure it's all covered still I can be a bit green.

So James is in Iceland ......... no, I'm not jealous, ..............no really, I'm not, ........... well OK then, yes I am. Iceland is a country I long to visit.
Bet it's still a bit chilly there in April, he'll need lots of extra people to make sure he is kept warm and well fed.

Update from the Icelandic members over on Final Gear. This is the link to the article, that they kindly translated for us: TopGear drives on new lava! Topgear drove on newly formed lava yesterday. They drove special modified car with sprinklers to cool the tires. The trick was to not to stop. But that was not enough because one tire caught fire but they were able to drive back. The news also said that Topgear crew had wished for a bad weather and they got that. Drive that should had just taken 2 hours took 10 hours. Most of that time they had a car in front of the car that James drove with the tailgate open to film. They never stopped filming even that they got thick layers of snow over them. This is the Google Translation, not accurate, but you get the gist of it. In an update, it is mentioned that the Icelandic police are apparently not happy with the TG crew driving over the new lava.

James is such a rebel annoying the police Well, I guess it has more to do with the crew putting themselves in danger than anything else. On a happier note, guess who will be hiking in that same area in the last week of June....
