Wow it's been a long time since I was in a forum.
Hi! *waves*
My name is Tiki, I'm 33, married to a lovely bloke, Jamie and have 3 chickens. I'm an Aussie. :-)
I've been lurking for a bit here but when I saw that James May (dot net) may be stopping :-O I thought it was about time I joined.
I discovered James through Top Gear but have since through many means being following him and dearly miss his on-line DT articles. I think he's extremely interesting and well he tickles my fancy anyway. :-)
*Whispers* (I've also taken a fancy to Sim (man lab)...like Simmy!)
I don't know if I'll have much to contribute, we'll see...It's tough not being in the U.K.
I'm a poet and painter. Though I don't think my poetry would be Jame's cup of tea and that is pretty much the basics of me.
I look forward to gettng to know this forum better and maybe having something to say. :-)
I hope you had a lovely festive season! :-)

Jamesness grows on most of us slowly but once hooked, there's no going back. I agree that the DT articles are sadly missed and I think quite a few of us on here have developed a soft spot for Simmy.
I hope you enjoy everything you find on the JMB, I'm still finding stuff I haven't read before!

Hi tiki and welcome! (Another Aussie!  ) Dit is absolutely right: once you're hooked, there is simply no turning back. It's all downhill from here. ;D And just because you're not British certainly doesn't mean you have nothing to contribute. On the contrary, in fact...it's fantastic that James has fans all over the globe and that we can congregate in a place like this. If he knew how great this forum is and how well we all get along, I'd say he'd be quite proud. It's a cyberspace rarity. |

Hello, I'm Laura also known as RX7 after my mom's "toy" summer car a 1983 Mazda RX-7. I love the car and I'm also a bit of a gearhead myself-that's Maine speak for petrolhead, FYI. Yes, I live in the states, my brothers and dad got me interested in Top Gear, I currently own a 97 Buick LeSabre and a 98 Honda Civic. The LeSabre is going to be sold because I abused it horribly > I like James and the others, but James reminds me a bit of my own dad who likes to take his time and do it right. Of consequence I'm a bit like that myself. I'm a medical transcriptionist, I own a Weimaraner/chocolate lab dog named Gus, and that's about it for now. Pleasure to meet everyone |
