But the big question is...What shirt was James wearing. ;D One with a fairly small floral print by the looks of it. Hard to say, he was wearing the blue velvet jacket over the top. I did covet Richard's jacket - it was a grey military style thing that Jeremy said made him look like Adam Ant ;D

I loved the use of the word 'custard'! And yes, the haircut - I nearly died.

I was hesitant to post this, as I know that loads of you are still waiting for tickets, but I thought you might like to share my experience of today's filming. If this is really inappropriate please could one of the mods pm me and I will remove this post - or just remove it yourself and let me know, that's fine as well. Right. Got there WAY too early, but better that than late! I went with two friends who'd never been to the filming before (one Hammondette, and one Jezzabelle) and my husband. The latter meant that I had to at least try to behave - hmmm. It was FREEZING in the car park - and started to rain as well, but luckily stopped before we had to queue. My friends were both very impressed by my plan of action (I sketched a diagram of the studio for them and told them the best place to be for this and that) - in the end they both just said 'we'll follow you, OK' ;D Once they'd done the outside chat, we all set off down towards the studio, and we'd been walking for a while before anyone realised that there wasn't any security leading us, just *ahem* me. (As I've been before I knew where to go, and didn't want to hang back and get to the back of the queue, so I just thought 'sod it, I'll lead the way'.) My friends thought this was hysterical - Matt from Applause Store didn't think it was funny at all once he managed to get to the front of the crowd - slightly out of breath!! Into the studio I spotted Andy in the far distance going into the portacabin which was a relief 'cos I'm always slightly worried that he won't be there. Presenters came on, and I might have slightly embarassed myself when I saw Richard. Jaw dropped, 'Oh my holy mother of...' was uttered before I clapped my hands to my face and stared at him in awe. Mark the floor manager noticed and pissed himself laughing - but I managed to mouth to him 'It's the hair - thank God he's got it cut', and he seemed to understand Managed to get go the front behind the telly, so should be seen maybe during the intro to Tuesday's epi and during the news. Watched the first bit of the East Coast Special Film - it's fab. Just... fab. News. How the HELL they are going to get any material out of this I haven't got a clue as it was ruder than normal, and SOOOOOOOOOOOOO hysterical. I won't spoil it for you - just to say there's a power cut and they almost set the entire set on fire. But, the best bit about the news was Andy was stood pretty much next to me ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!!!!!! He was wandering around between the stage and the audience while they were setting up, but I was very restrained and didn't attract his attention because he definitely had his 'work face' on. One of the roadies asked him where he was going to be during the filming and he said, waving his hand randomly, 'Oh, somewhere around here, or there.' Then, he spotted me. Now if it is possible for a man to shriek, he shrieked. And looked genuinely pleased to see me. Then grabbed me, pulled me into a hug and kissed me on both cheeks while saying, 'Hello Darlin', how are you.' I swear, I nearly passed out. At this point, the same roadie came up again and said he really needed to know where Andy would be; to which Andy replied, 'Right here.' SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Then he was chatting to me and saying that he was glad I was here because it was all going to go horribly wrong during the news and he suspected we were all going to be killed, but at least he now knew he would die next to someone that he knew. After the news they then showed the second part of the USA film (utterly hysterical 'dealing with The Stig' is all I'm going to say about that!) before moving on to the SIARPC, Danny Boyle. Good interview - loads of cock ups with the film which involved Jez almost coming to blows with Brian! Good lap time as well. It was wet. GOOD LAP TIME. Tea break. Hung around for AGES before managing to get my photo with Richard and Andy. Caught Jez really early on and asked him to sign my ticket - he said, 'Sorry Helen, I'm a bit busy at the moment but if you catch me later during the third bit of the USA film I'll do it then.' And he told me where to find him, and true to his word he was there! After the tea break was the final part of the USA film, before they filmed the intro to the Christmas Middle East Special. Then we came home, and I am one very happy bunny ;D Photos are here[/color] - but not much of interest, just me and Andy/Richard really.

Great photos, AP. Richard does look rather good with that new haircut. Great account, too. I'm really looking forward to seeing this episode now. It sounds brilliant! ;D Maybe I should register with Applause Store sometime, as I'd love to go to a TG filming. Mind you, I have no idea how I'd get to Dunsfold now that I no longer have a car.

You should - although I've never yet had tickets myself, friends of mine have, which is how I've been lucky enough to go If they hadn't registered, we'd never have been! As for getting there without a car, it's not that hard - train from Victoria to Horsham, taxi from Horsham to Dunsfold Aerodrome. Or make sure someone in your party has a car, and they can drive

I have to admit it... when I got home last night, I ended up on eBay looking for military-style jackets! I bet Richard's cost a bit more than £8.50, but it was nice. And the haircut... I like his hair when it's all choppy, so I like it a lot ;D
Mind you, talking of hair, I think James has had another trim, so it's quite short at the moment, but there was a lovely moment when the makeup girl came out to tidy the boys. She started fiddling with James's hair and obviously this was not a pleasing arrangement, so he started fiddling with hers ;D

Thanks for all the detail! One day Applause Store might smile on me, but until then I will have to rely on first hand accounts.
But please - another hair cut? Quite short? Oh James, please don't keep doing this. Don't tell me he's suddenly going to go all middle-aged and sensible about his hair!

Think Series 2 short She started fiddling with James's hair and obviously this was not a pleasing arrangement, so he started fiddling with hers ;D Bless I would have liked to have seen that! It was really funny - I was stood behind the stage telly so had a great view of it. He had a right grump face on and I couldn't help myself saying, 'Smile, James, you know you love it!' and he pulled one of his really fake cheesy smiles before going back to his frown. Really made me laugh. thanks AP Poor Andy looks as if he's been dragged through a bush and back ;D Unfortunately it wasn't me that was doing any of the dragging And I definitely second Wyvern's comment - just register. You'll work round any problems once you get tickets. I had so many contingency plans incase it snowed!

I took a few photos yesterday - didn't get any of the boys because I'm not good with being in that kind of situation, but I did take a few of the lovely cars (not Richard's yellow Megane though!). Here they are... CLICKY!The GT3 RS drove up the road to the gate behind us (we were on foot) on the way out. It sounded beautiful ;D

Series 2 wasn't so bad ;D Remember James is nearing another decade (sorry James ) so looking like Elizabeth Hurley is probably not a good thing I'm liking his hair short, looks thick and lush and not to mention sophisticated

As for getting there without a car, it's not that hard - train from Victoria to Horsham, taxi from Horsham to Dunsfold Aerodrome. Or make sure someone in your party has a car, and they can drive I've thought about registering, but I've always reckoned that the chance of getting a ticket was so remote that there didn't seem to be much point in doing so. That's why I've never bothered with it before. Neither do I know enough TG fans for there to be a chance of my being offered a spare ticket. In addition, not only do I have insufficient money these days to justify the cost of such a journey, but it's also highly unlikely that I'd have a party of friends to travel with, for the above mentioned reason. In all honesty, I'm resigned to never being able to go to a filming, but I'm very happy for those who do manage to go.
