Ok, I've been staring at the lovely photo of James, and he's gorgeous. But has anyone noticed the words in the background? Crack me up!!! ;D ;D "Walk fast or get out of the way" "Don't stare at or stalk celebs" "Don't rely on finding a public toilet" "Ride a rickshaw through Chinatown" Wonder if thats James choice of words

Yes, that's the poster I meant. Thanks, DMC. I've since discovered that there is another such poster just around the corner from my local Tube station, on the route that I use to walk to and from there. It certainly brightens my work commute! ;D Edited to credit the correct person. Sorry!

I've just checked again, and it was actually Devil-May-Care who posted it. Sorry, DMC! Thanks again. Blimey, surely I'm a bit too young to need reading glasses...or am I?!

I went to the website wheninlondon.com and there's a car with that ad on it.They also have a facebook page which I can't get to. They want more ideas of things to do and not do in London. Be Brazilian or go there.(No offense Londoners I am only kidding).

I saw the 'When In London' poster on my commute today, just outside of East Croydon. Very nice too!

I too drive past it. When I first saw it (at an acute angle), I thought his hair was rather early Einstein-like.
I still find it rather odd to drive past him on a billboard. I can't explain it but it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. I still like looking at those eyes though.

I've picked up this tweet, which is not very nice about James but there's a very important point in there:
The animated ad for London Pride starring James May outside the Fullers brewery in West London is about as much of a turn off as cirrhosis.
ANIMATED ad? There's an animated ad? Does anyone live or work near the Fullers brewery who could video this and put it up on the JMB? I would love to see that!

I howled with laughter when I picked this up on twitter just now: Sorry James May! Not the best place for his London Pride advert... Above one of London's most infamous gay clubs!

This has come up on the blog of the photographer who took the photo.
'Making-Pictures' New London Pride – Dan Burn-Forti
“This is about the 5th time I’ve shot James and he is a most excellent fellow. Kind of exactly like the bloke on the telly really. And this must be one of the truest bits of product endorsement ever – he lives a minute from the Fullers brewery, drinks in a Fullers pub with his ale of choice being London Pride. I bet that Clooney doesn’t really drink Nespresso……”

I saw the animated ad at Bank station this morning. It's several still images in succession and it's lovely. Obviously, I was mid-commute so I didn't get a good look - but it must work because I intend to have a pint or three tonight

I drove past the Fullers Brewery heading towards Hammersmith last week whilest I was in London but I didn't see an "animated" ad with James on it there However I did finally get to see a James / Fullers billboard poster advert in the flesh whilst in London, near the Hammersmith flyover I think it was, I almost screamed and pointed.... which would have been embarassing with MOH in the car also

The animated ads are mostly at tube and railway stations because that's where the Clearchannel electronic billboards are set up. I saw one on the District Line somewhere on Friday evening as I was passing through after work. They're quite good for cheering up a commute, with James appearing (by the medium of about three photos) to raise a glass of Pride to the passers by Have to say I really, really like the design of this latest phase of the ad campaign. It's a little funkier, and I think it's also a little more eyecatching. Good stuff, advertising what is actually (at least if you drink it in London) good beer. Hurrah!

I know it seems foreverago now, but I found all this stuff today from the Agency that created the advertising campaign, including James as part of their showreel (sorry about having to sit through Ronnie Corbett) and some detailed blogs. www.doner.co.uk/blog.doner.co.uk/?s=james+may&submit=Search

Is this on a London taxi seat? It's beginning to sound as if James is appearing on all sort of transport - buses, taxis etc.

That would be a weird taxi seat! It looks more like a table in a train. But Ive heard the taxi's in London are different from ours... lol. Nice ad tho, I wouldve stolen the whole table/seat/thing. ;D

I think London cabs have at least one fold-down seat, and I'm guessing it's one of those, though that photo's all I have so I'm not sure. Can anyone enlighten us?
