Can't you access the page anyway? Like with Twitter: you don't have to have an account to read other people's tweets.

The link just takes me to the sign up page, and even when I type in 'londonpride' after www.facebook.com it takes me straight back to the sign up page. I can't get any further!

This is driving me crazy!!! Why can't I get on it? I've tried every which way I can think of and all I can get is the facebook sign up page! Someone help me before I end up being the only kid in the playground that hasn't played the game!!!

In order to play the pub quiz, you need to a) have a Fezbook account, and then b) "like" the page. I do have a Fezbook, but I won't be "liking" it as I have a policy I use on there, which is if I can't see the info without having to commit to "like" then I won't be looking at it. I personally hate it when you have to do that - one time when I did that, I was absolutely bombarded with updates from that particular group....three in less that an hour, and published onto my page without my wanting them to be. So, sadly, I won't be taking the pub quiz, which is a shame, but I'm sure I'll manage

I asked on the previous page if I needed one and was told I didn't, that I could access the page without. As I refuse to have a facebook account that suited me fine. Is that not the case?

There can't be many things I would refuse to do for James, but opening a facebook account is sadly one of them.

Sadly not. I do have a Fezbook, but you have to join that group to see the content.

Thanks various people (Daisy, you got in just ahead of me!) Obviously I do need the account so I too will be missing the pub quiz. If it ever gets its own website, will someone please let me know?

I must admit it bugs me a bit when advertisers either assume everyone's on facebook, or aim their advertising at the agegroup/demographic that uses it most, therefore excluding lots of people.

You don't have to like the London Pride fanpage to be able to see the content. I haven't "liked" it, even though I do, but I can still see all the content and play the game.

You don't have to like the company's Facebook page but you do have to be a registered member on Facebook to play. I'd let you borrow my account, but I use it all the time to play MouseHunt

I also refuse to have a Facebook account and detest the way everyone just assumes the whole rest of the world has one.

I occasionally borrow my Dad's account (set up by my nephew so he could play games with Grandad) just to be able to see things but I'm not about to start clicking activate on a brewery page in his name when he doesn't drink!

If you couldn't access the pub quiz yesterday without liking it, try again today. Maybe the server was just too busy on the first day. Also, it is a flash game, so you will have that installed as well.

I am so glad that I'm not the only person not to have a Facebook account, it would seem that whilst in the minority I am in good company here with several of you not having an account. I now don't feel so much of a Luddite.

So in the words of Meat Loaf ............. "I'll do anything for love but I won't do that" .............. sorry James. And anyway I'm sure James would support anybody who refuses to follow the crowd.
