No idea what went wrong. The first 9 video's I uploaded from the Facebook pages of Fuller were flv-files, but the last four were mp4 files. That's probably the cause. I will try to look into it later.
On Facebook, they are all fine and much better quality as well, so it's well worth checking them out there if you have an account. Hopefully Fuller will upload these videos to their YouTube channel as well. It only takes about an hour or so to do so.

www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/oct/11/james-may-london-pride-adThis starts off as a straight reporting of the ad campaign. It's the comments that are unfortunate. There are jokes about London Pride having gay connotations and the inevitable crap questioning James's sexuality. When reading comments like this, one has to remember James has his detractors (as any famous person does) as well as his admirers. And there are very few comments really - it could've been far worse!

I do like the feeling in the ads that he's ever-so-gently extracting the urine out of himself and the situation.

Oh how I've laughed at the comments ;D.....well I'm drinking it, or rather one of Fullers finest's beers right now, rather nice seeing as I'm not a big beer drinker.

At least he seems to be being allowed to be true to himself, which has got to be rare in advertising/marketing.

That's a great add. He really does look relaxed.
I love a good malty beer but I didn't think that I'd be able to try London Pride living in the US. I decided to check at my local grocery store's beer section because they carry all sorts of imported beers and I thought it was worth a go. To my surprise they had three types of Fuller's beer. I picked up a six pack of the London Pride and a six pack of the ESB. I really liked the London Pride a lot! James has excellent taste. (But we knew that already.)

I actually have a local store order London Pride by the case for me. They don't sell enough of it in their store to carry it regularly, but they are more than willing to order from the distributor. I love them! That latest ad is great. I agree, he does look very relaxed, very real. Very James! ;D ;D Can't wait for more! ;D

To borrow the phrase from the Facebook page, they are 'still fermenting'!

I've just had a look at the Fuller's London Pride page on Facebook. A new feature has been added: a journal, written by James, called James' World O' Beer. There is only one entry so far but, to paraphrase the London Pride team, he will be writing more 'at random intervals'. Hopefully, neither James nor Fuller's will mind it being reproduced here, for those who don't use Facebook. So, here is the first entry:- Is proper beer becoming trendy? November 2010
As you can probably see from some of the posters I'm currently appearing on, what I know about fashion could be written on the label of a chunky cardigan.
So when someone asked me, 'Is proper beer becoming trendy?', I had a think, and what I thought was: I hope not.
Trends are all very well but they tend to pass quite quickly. Look at my orange shoes. I prefer to think that a new breed of drinkers is beginning to appreciate how much more a 'proper' beer has to offer when compared with a cynically promoted pint of something merely cold and fizzy. I work with a lot of people in their early 20s these days, and I've heard a lot of them suddenly talking about 'fancying a pint of ale'.
The only thing that would please me more is if one of them said 'Yo, May – cool jacket.'
Someone else said to me, the other day, that an Englishman should drink an English beer. Well, I think a true Englishman, being an open-hearted and liberal-minded sort of bloke, should be a drinking citizen of planet Earth, and try beer from all around the world. But I can't help keeping a special affection for the beer of home.
It's a bit like my mum's pies, or the childhood slang of the area where I grew up. A beer that has sprung from the soul of the country that sustained me, formed me, gave me a sense of being, and other things that Rupert Brooke said much better than I can, will always offer something that can't be achieved with hops alone.
That beer will be Pride, obviously. It's my favourite beer, and coincidentally it also happens to be my local beer. That's a nice thought when I'm having a swift one in the Cross Keys and the Brewery is only a few hundred yards away.
But I've also had a Pride in a bar in California. It clearly wasn't a local beer there, but it was to me, and it was as inviting as my own bed in a bottle.
It might have been the best one I ever had.

Keep your eyes peeled for these later this month. By then we'll have put them together in the right order. We hope. /The London Pride Team
