James did an interview with the student newspaper when he was back at Lancaster Uni to receive his honorary degree. Link!Interesting bit of news. James mentions a dvd he's working on together with Richard. I wonder what it is. Maybe A thousand ways to kill Jeremy Clarkson. ;D Pic is a bit big, but too yummy not to post.

Sarah never been to the North of England... she doesn't know what she's missing. A good article.

It is a good article, and I agree about the north of England; it really is lovely there. I spent most of my childhood there, and I have very happy memories of the Yorkshire Dales, the Moors, and lots of pretty rivers, waterfalls, woods and towns, not to mention the Lake District. I'd love to go back again some time.

Like you xj that is how I like to think of the north. You didn't mention the coast in your list, there are some fabulous secluded beaches and bays that very few people go to, For example Boggle Hole, and Hayburn Wyke and as you venture further north into Northumberland there are beautiful beaches that stretch for miles and hardly a soul in sight. On the down side there are some fairly grim places in the older industrial towns that no longer have industry, and the weather can be fairly unpredictable.

It's true, there are some lovely coastal areas. We used to go on family holidays to the Northumberland coast, near Bamburgh and Seahouses. Gorgeous beaches and sand dunes, and the Farne Islands and Holy Island not too far away. Happy days. *sigh*

I wonder if any of James old newspaper articles have survived.
