What an excellent start to the new series. The spaniel in the Atom was excellent ;D and the banter between Jezza and James afterwards was very funny. The news was once again the best bit for me, definietly should be longer (or get that dvd out beeb!) I do like John Baldwin he dies make me laugh, hope he got a good price for those Porsche alloys ;D

... and we're back! I have to say the Skoda report made me a little proud (wheeliebin = half Czech), but on the other hand the car I learned to drive in was a Beetle so seeing the poor thing all smashed made me sad. Landing a helicopter on a car. Where else do you see madness like this.

Enjoyed that. Nice to have them back. New Stig fitted right it, I liked James' first piece, like Richard's new hair, enjoyed the Skoda film, Star in a was good (excellent driving - quite obvious new Stig is far superior to old crappy turn coat one). Only thing I hated was the need to drop a thoroughly good car from a helicopter to its destruction. Actually switched over before it ended (so I didn't miss Being Human). Half of me was hoping it might tumble on to Richard just to teach them a lesson. So I deduct a point for that.

I actually gave it a 10, something I haven't done in a long time. Possibly it was more of a 9 and a half but to me they were well back on form. James seemed to dominate the first half hour and was in excellent spirits, the humour seemed spot on (though I suspect the good burghers of Liverpool might have something to say!) and I even found Richard's piece interesting, which I have to say in all honesty hasn't been the case recently.
Certainly it was a very good start to a new series.

What a fantastic start to the series! All the boys were well on form, the films were all very good and the banter was right back where it should be. Nice way around having a TG presenter driving the Atom too ;D Bloody loved it. There was lots of humour but it didn't feel forced, and the News was the car-iest in a long time. It definitely felt a little more old-school, but in a very good way. Welcome back, boys!
Dear TG production team: More of this please.

Program was great and as a scouser you get used to it, we have are own box of insults to fit every occasion. Though if it was parked in a bad area of Liverpool the scallys would of just took the car. LOL

Good show. Blimey John Bishop was an excellent driver. I too wondered whether the new Stig was a better teacher......time will tell.
And James's hair improves all the time.....just another inch or so should do it!

I also enjoyed the bit about watching the show on Iplayer. Although, that is exactly what I did since BBCA s*cks where Top Gear is concerned. I really enjoyed the episode. Thought they were back on form and that everything was well done!

AP, I've downloaded but seem to have no sound - any ideas? (Very grateful for the continuing downloads, by the way!) Bugger, no. Well, lots, but not all easy to fix. Firstly, what are you playing it in? Windows Media Player sometimes has a fit depending on what codec (software used to encode different media) I used, and I did use another one than normal to get a smaller file-size, but got a friend to test before I uploaded and it worked fine for her. Two simple options, both of which involve downloading again, sorry. VLC player[/color] plays anything, and it's free and installs really quickly. Alternatively I can recode and reupload it the way I have done in the past as you've had no problem with previous uploads. It's not a hassle - just let me know
