Oh, everything I come into contact with becomes complicated, costly, time-consuming or broken. Never my fault, I hasten to add. Sometimes my incompetence or stupidity, but never my fault!

I've found this site which is amusing; it creates a report about your twitter account and how much it's worth. Mine says it's worth 'approximately $14.38 USD on the retail market'. James' is worth $377,980.85 But PLEASE NOTE - you need to delete your info once you've got it, otherwise all the details of your twitter account will be there for anyone to see, and it's alarmingly difficult. I'm still not sure whether I've removed it successfully, nor am I certain whether there's any legitimate connection to Twitter, so use it at your peril - I rather wish I hadn't started! But for the brave snpros.com/

One of James' tweets this morning brought an involuntary tear to my eye (I'm a cat-owner who's lost two in the past fifteen months, and I have a third with a terminal but thankfully slow-moving medical condition).
Someone asked him if he still had Fusker. This was the reply - it was the hashtag that got me.
'I'm afraid he died last year. #InTheBasketByEternitysRadiator '

I'm doing a happy dance because Richard responded to me!

According to a tweet, James was refused VIP entry to the Hyde Park end-of-Olympics concert tonight. Don't know if it was resolved in the end, but I wonder what his mood will be if he tweets about it later tonight or tomorrow - Quietly amused? Wryly accepting of the nature of fame? Cross?

Wouldn't he have to have a ticket or pass or something, even as a VIP?
I think he'll crack a self-deprecating smile (after he calms down).

Jeremy was looking for tickets to Stevie Wonder in San Francisco. I don't know if he got any!

I'd like to join Jeremy to see Stevie - he's glorious live and a hero of mine. I don't think it does a famous person any harm to be 'rebuffed' occasionally - we are all equal and fame and fortune makes no difference to that! Maybe he left his ticket at home......disappointing for him though. I'd have been gutted. I have decided to be a Luddite regarding Twitter and have given up looking at all. But I look at your posts with interest and was particularly taken with some very honest posts about how some of you react to it all (will he, won't he reply? Etc). I suppose it must be like entering a very very small part of his world and hoping you can, for a very short time, enter his thoughts.

Apparently James did get in to the Hyde park gig eventually (someone tweeted that she was on the gate and refused quite a few well-known people as she got confused over which were the correct wristbands) and there are photos on the Pics Of James thread.
He also, according to other tweeters, was at the Blur after-party, which presumably explains his tweet this morning
'Blur in the park were fantastic last night. Just sayin'. #TodayABitOfABlurToo'

Good Colchester boy is Damon (whatever his stupidly inaccurate Wiki page says). Once saw him kissing his mum and dad goodbye at the station.

I keep posting on this thread - probably more than I post on Twitter.
Anyway, James is beginning to drive me nuts with all this "innit", "soz", "lolz" and "amazeballs" stuff. It's annoying from someone half his age, and as he's twice the age of someone half his age, it's twice as annoying!
Had to get that off my chest.

While we're griping....I had been following @jmstyntk but unfollowed when most of their tweets were merely worthless retweets of others' mundane observations. Am I the only one who is irritated by people who retweet a bazillion things?
