Very little came through after the flurry of activity this lunchtime. There were a cople of comments from people who'd met James, and a couple from people who were looking for him, but it looks as if he'd not spent much more time there. There was this one further pic of him filming. If I find any more I'll post them.

This one came through on the official High Voltage site as James introducing the band, but it does actually/almost look as if he is singing with them (the guitarists appear to be playing) and how good would that be?

This cracks me up...why is it that Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York" pops into my head when I see this photo? ;D ;D The day has obviously had an effect - I see the board has a new "online users" record.

Apparently there are more photos of the weekend as a whole on facebook, but as I don't do facebook I have no idea whether there are any of James. However, this is the facebook page if anyone wants to look. If there are any more, please put them on here! www.facebook.com/HighVoltageFest

I've taken a look, Dit, and I don't see any of James or a mention of Love Fungus. I'll have a thorough check later though. Just in case I missed something.

Another photo, a fanpic. Sorry, Sophie, whoever you are, nothing personal, but we're interested in James.

The way he's standing with the microphone sort of reminds me of "the boss", not the looks, just something, possibly the leather jacket.

(Good job I didn't post the original, then!)
It looks as if James really is the BBC's blue-eyed boy at the moment. I found this today:
"BBC America Looks to Expand Roster of Original Content with 5 New Pilot Orders
Today, BBC America announced 5 new original pilots in development: James May’s Man Lab U.S......... (etc., etc)
James May’s Man Lab U.S. is produced by Plum Pictures and based on Top Gear presenter May’s successful British format of the same name. In the U.S. version, James comes to America and teams up with an American sidekick in order to help his transatlantic brethren rediscover and relearn the skills that define what “being a man” is all about. Executive Producers for Plum Pictures are Will Daws and Stuart Cabb."

Sorry I seem to be dominating this thread at the mo, but there's a lot going on and I suppose someone's got to post it! First of all, do you know any men? Or are any of our male readers, erm, reading? This on twitter: If any men over 18 want to be in background of James May's Man Lab series in London on July 28, Aug 1, 3, 8, 9, 11, or 17 drop me a line. When asked if it pays, she (I think it's cassandra) replied Alas no, zones 1-3 travel card & a wholesome lunch provided though! The contact is on twitter - @cassharwood Also, another fanpic has turned up; one of the ladies vaguely visible either side of James is a rock radio DJ. As I've 'removed' them (sorry ladies!) James is somewhat tall and thin.

(Good job I didn't post the original, then!)HOLY sh*t HOLY sh*t Ears are pricked as to on which coast he's filming. Oh my god! My attempt to summon him last week might actually have worked! James? James??? It's MightyBabs! If you can hear me, then please PLEASE come to the SF Bay Area. You'd really like it! Lot's of stuff to do, great weather, and my husband has a fantastic shop in the basement that you can spend hours tinkering around in. WOMAN can come, too (so to speak) - I'd take her hiking, go to the beach, whatever she wants. Oh god PLEASEEEE come here. I love you! <*sob!*> MB

P.S.:
James? MB again. Listen, I forgot to tell you that my husband is also a pilot, so you can store your lovely plane next to his rental. Imagine the fun we can all have, flying about, landing at little airfields and drinking tea, then coming directly back. Neat, huh?
Anyway, just something to think about....
Much love,
Me

I get to keep the pictures, though. Also, admittedly, my secret fear is that he'll move permanently to the US. I'd hate it if he lost even a modicum of his, erm, Britishness(?). So, definitely, a loaner only.

So, definitely, a loaner only. Don't think a permanent move is very likely, and this is only a pilot show. As you say, it's his Britishness that sells him in the US, and it's likely that an American rehash won't be such a hit.

For those who want more of High Voltage, there's going to be an interview in this at some point: Record Collector Mag (tweet) Other High Voltage Newsletter Q&As due inc. James LaBrie (D Theater), Jeff Scott Soto (ex-Journey), Rodney Matthews, James May (Top Gear!)...and I have another one from Sunday, a bit more difficult to crop out the guys he's with, so this is the best I can do: Apparently there are more photos going on all week onto facebook, but someone else will need to look at those. Only at a gig like that could you have an official announcement like this! Due to technical problems Thin Lizzy's set was not as loud as it should have been - sincere apologies.

I've been checking the High Voltage Facebook page and this is the only photo I've seen of James so far. Of course, it was uncut and one we already have. Nothing of the band yet either.
