The shoes....dear God, the shoes!
I assume he's one of those people who, having found something they like, buys several colours at once so they don't have to think about it for a while. Bright blue, green, pinky-orange - what other horrors has he still to unleash on us?
(Actually, I quite like them)

I can see getting different colors of the same shoe style once one finds a pair that fits and is comfortable.I like to clothes shop, unlike the manly Mr. May, and it's pain finding shoes that fit properly. I've done that with tops, I have eight of the same cotton, ribbed knit, V-necked sweaters, in different colors, that I bought over the course of two years. Some info about that green jumper he's been wearing lately I thought it was old, it is a bit frayed around the collar

I really hate the stocking cap, it's really ugly. James has been wearing a lot of hats and caps lately, most are good, some are ok but this thing should be in the bin. Still, it appears as if he's lost a bit of weight or is that my imagination?

James May Visits Lancaster University Just Before Announcing He Won't Do Top Gear Without Jeremy Clarkson First published Thursday 23 April 2015 in News Last updated 09:52 Thursday 23 April 2015 by PATRICK CHRISTYSTOP Gear star James May visited his former university and ended up playing pool with the students. The Lancaster University graduate came to look around the new engineering department on Tuesday, April 21, just a day before announcing he would not do Top Gear without Jeremy Clarkson. May was up in the North West to meet the University’s Formula Student Race Car team, of which he is patron, and even offered to make some of the components for the 2016 car. The former Pendle College student then paid a visit to a campus bar where he played pool with his friends and students. He said: "It’s great to find the core of the University much the same as I remember it. The campus has probably doubled in size since my time, though, with buildings and facilities we could only dream of back in the eighties." First year student Nicola Cook said: "It was great to meet him. We didn't want to bother him but he was so lovely and down to earth. "He seemed to be enjoying being back on campus although I'm sure it's changed quite a bit since he was here! "Everyone was so excited to meet him - he's a legend and yet he was just having a quiet evening playing pool with his friends like any of us normally would!" www.thewestmorlandgazette.co.uk/news/12906535.James_May_visits_Lancaster_University_just_before_announcing_he_won_t_do_Top_Gear_without_Jeremy_Clarkson/ James May's Campus Visit Thrills Lancaster Students 23 April 2015 12:43 Former Top Gear presenter James May added a buzz of excitement to campus life this week when he visited Lancaster University’s new state-of-the-art Engineering building. The Lancaster graduate was up in the North West to meet the University’s Formula Student Race Car team, of which he is patron. James was hosted by the Head of Engineering, Professor Malcom Joyce, and was impressed by what he saw. He said: “The new building is fantastic. Ecologically designed, full of great equipment – it’s a great place to study and conduct research.” James took time to look over the student race car, a design project led by Dr Chris Lingwood, which sees a Lancaster team competing at Silverstone in the annual Formula Student championship. He complimented the team on the look and feel of their car and even offered to help make some of the components for the 2016 version. The popular television presenter also enjoyed modelling for one of Lancaster’s 3D printers, which produced a precise resin model of him. “The general engineering training on offer here is really impressive,” he commented. James, who left Lancaster in 1985 and received an honorary doctorate from the University in 2010, also took time for a trip down memory lane: “It’s great to find the core of the University much the same as I remember it. The campus has probably doubled in size since my time, though, with buildings and facilities we could only dream of back in the eighties.” James has a strong fan base at Lancaster. Nick Fragel, the Director of Alumni, Development & Events, commented: “The visit was planned as a low-key event, but the power of social media ensured that many students managed to get to meet James. He made time for everyone, posing for dozens of ‘selfies’. We were delighted to have him back on campus.” www.lancaster.ac.uk/news/articles/2015/top-gear-mans-campus-visit-thrills-lancaster-students/

I would be rather disappointed if she was some kind of 'dollybird' - though I don't think that James would be interested in that kind of woman anyway. (Pardon if you think I'm being presumptuous).

Richard Hammond and James May sparked the latest round of Top Gear rumours today when they arrived at the BBC without Jeremy Clarkson. Two thirds of the famous trio rolled up to the corporation's London headquarters on motorbikes this morning - but are yet to reveal what they were discussing with bosses. Both have ruled out appearing on Top Gear without Clarkson, who was sacked following his now infamous row with one of the show's producers earlier this year.
Top Gear's James May and Richard Hammond were spotted heading into the BBC building this morning The pair have yet to reveal what they were there to discuss, as speculation rages about the show's futureThe uncertain future of one of the BBC's most popular shows has led to fans to speculate on whether Clarkson, May and Hammond may now start making their own programme for a rival channel, while the BBC investigates ways of keeping the long-running concept alive. Clarkson, 55, was seen drinking with model Jodie Kidd yesterday, who some have suggested could become a new presenter on the show. Hammond, 45, and May, 52, stopped for photos with fans outside the BBC building today, but did not comment on why they were at the iconic building. The two men arrived at the building on motorbikes and were seen chatting outside before heading inThey were happy to speak to fans and pose for pictures before the meeting - which came after they refused to film Top Gear without sacked Clarkson by their side May has said working with 'a surrogate Jeremy is a non-starter' and Hammond vowed 'not to quit my mates' Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3060957/Richard-Hammond-James-spotted-BBC-studios-without-Clarkson.html#ixzz3Yic1NLYE Mirror

By Gloucestershire Echo | Posted: April 29, 2015 Top Gear stars James May and Richard Hammond were both at the BBC today, for reasons unknown. But fellow presenter Jeremy Clarkson was not there. Both May and Hammonds turned up at Broadcasting House in motorcycle gear, Hammond wearing the same protective black jacket and trousers he wore to visit GCHQ in Cheltenham on Tuesday. They made time for a cigarette, (in Richard's case an e-cig) and spoke to fans but did not say why they were there. www.gloucestershireecho.co.uk/Gear-stars-Richard-Hammond-James-BBC-today/story-26411905-detail/story.html

From the Daily Mail, of all places (and for once they aren't being completely miserable about all things TG) James is wearing his shirt tucked in! Granted, I know it is largely for the purposes of fancy dress, but it makes his legs look so long. I wish he'd wear his shirts tucked in more frequently. That tidy look is much more becoming.
