The full title is 'BBC - Top Gear - US road trip outtake - James May's yoga class', which might help you find it on YouTube. I assume it's also on the official Top Gear site somewhere, as it begins with the TG swirly thing (what do we call that thing? Logo? Ident?). Hope that's of some help, Jess_Lou!

The link worked for me...but I can't watch it with sound until I get home (unless I can get everyone out of the place we're staying, which is doubtful). Very funny without audio anyway - had to muffle my laughs, don't want to draw any attention. Poor James, you loon. ;D

Love the part were Jeremy comes with his silly laugh and James then says "Shut up!" ;D YEAH! That was hilarious!! It would have been even funnier if James would have thrown a mat at him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ok, excuse me while I vent for a moment. And I have to make a comment about James' use of the word "consumption" [We've got TB under control now, James]I'm four years younger than him, and would never use a word like that......wanna know why? My grandparents used that word!!!! My parents used that word!!!! All he had to say was, "I've got a cold", or "I smoke too much", or "I've never done yoga before."
[like the 'spider plank'....it's a JM inspired push-up move, not a traditional yoga position but I like it.....watched my girlfriend crawl into a fetal position after that move]
sheeeeshhhhh.....he really is stuck in the 50's.....lol! [auh but I still love 'im]

That's cool then ;D I guess my Americanized mind-set took me away of my grandparents vocabulary. But that's probably cuz my parents had me very late in life, and I couldn't hold on to their language when everyone else around me was speaking differently. I taught my parents a lot of today's lingo...a lot of which they didn't get

I finally got to watch it!! Oh James, you are funny...I think Richard and Jeremy are hugely mean though for watching and laughing! I think they must have been SUPPOSED to join in....that would have been hilarious!!
As a yoga/zumba devotee, I can offer my assistance to James. Yoga would benefit his wobbliness....I generously offer to help him!!

Chariot taxi for Chari?
Consumption, as well as being still used in the north sometimes for chestiness in general, (as in, "You sound as if you've got t'consumption, lad"), is also a very 'historical' word which would doubtless appeal to James' tendencies towards things of the past.

Update: The full episode from Yoga Express (in 3 parts) - it's very quiet at first as they don't have the studio mikes on, then it's silent as they wait to start. It's still not all that loud but quite acceptable. He's trying so hard......far more than I'm sure the other two would have. "I shall find solace in stillness" "I've never been very flexible, even as a small child" "What very nice cool hands you have" "My jeans are giving me a slight problem in the gentleman's region" *quiet snort* "I didn't really expect to win this race, I feel I may have been (through gritted teeth) slightly stitched up" I'm pretty sure that just after James tells Clarkson to shut up. he actually mouths 'F***Off' - though I could be wrong! There's a lovely short interview at the end of part 3. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyX7b4HAAYMwww.youtube.com/watch?v=UDRMSR_jUeQ&NR=1www.youtube.com/user/DankWin#p/a/u/0/06qB1iTYcF4

OMG! There's more! James did more yoga? I'm impressed. I really thought he did a little bit and went on his merry way. I can't wait to watch these when I get home from work!

Poor James, he really isn't very supple. He could do with getting rid of that congestion off his chest - or pack the cigs in!
Thanks for the link Dit, it is quite a good cure for a hangover! Trust me on that score :-)

That was the best!!!! Way to go James!!!! They should have given him some exercise pants, he would have had a better time. Yoga in jeans is torture. He did a great job! I can't believe Jeremy and Richard didn't join in.
I think I'm going visit that studio someday cuz it's not that far. They allow walk-ins. I'm really good at yoga. Would love to do that!

Thanks Dit for the links!
Poor James! He was so sporting though. I can't believe he did that much. I loved it when the host kept saying "...and you should feel a beautiful stretch...". I kept thinking no lady, that feeling is pain. (And you could tell that from the looks on James's face.) If I were him I would have killed Jeremy and Richard for not joining in.

Thanks, Dit. The poor guy must have ached so-o-o-o badly next day. 'Camera-shy' Richard and Jeremy really should have joined in, but I must admit I wasn't at all sorry to see half an hour of James alone in slow-motion stretching. Who needs distractions?

I LOVED this video. Is the full video on the new Adventures 4 DVD? I don't have that one yet. Just so I know before mucking around downloading the yogaxpress vid and converting it, etc etc. But if anyone else has downloaded it and converted it, please share I loved hearing Jezza's laughter, what a crack up. "I've got some other ideas of what to do with my colleagues" "I think Mr Hammond would be quite into this." *giggles*

I have a confession.....
I just finished a 90 minute zumba session, and I thought of James the whole time. As I was about to kick the zumba instructor right in the head if she said, " just a bit harder " ( made me think of James for a whole other reason) one more time, I thought to myself, no Jess, just suck it up, and though of James in agony doing yoga. As bad as it is to think of him in discomfort, it pushed me through. And at least I wasn't barking with consumption!!
Does that make me a horrific saddo?? Or just a bit peculiar??

I sometimes think about James in my Zumba class too, but it's usually when I've got to do pelvic circles/figures-of-eight!
