Can't wait! I imagine it will be a little bit silly, but I like it when they have silly bits thrown in.

I voted 10 because it made me giggle lots and James saying 'oh is it?' (or something along those lines)- and not believing Jeremy absolutely made my night, he looked so sweet! I thought it was full of silly- but not too silly. I thought James and Hammond's train was actually a good idea! ... James looked lovely.

I really enjoyed it. The silliness was in true TG style, with imagination and childishness in equal measure. I knew about the caravan fire from spoilers and it was a bit predictable in the last few minutes, but that's my only quibble.
The car segments were interesting, Rowan Atkinson's interview was allowed time to develop, the humour in the show seemed unforced - I'm liking this season!

I knew about the caravan fire from spoilers and it was a bit predictable in the last few minutes, but that's my only quibble. I have to agree on that actually: I had a feeling it would happen.. but once Hammond put the chips in the pan with the oil, I thought 'There will be a fire in a bit'... but then would we miss the fire if there wasn't one? Although- the train would have made it without the fire.. and I really wanted it to succeed.

I loved that Jag - then again I loved that Aston that made James cross, so far all the cars they hate, I like. The Nissan moved like sh*t off a shovel! Nice car, but doesn't have the presence of the Jag.
Loved the bickering over the tannoy, but was more mesmerised by the remains of the coldsore on James' lip. (OK, I'm odd like that).

*glee* I want a GT-R more and more every time I see one. And that train film was ridiculous, and of course it had its set-pieces, but they looked like they were genuinely having a lot of fun with it. James seemed to enjoy the experience of 'driving' on the train tracks and Jeremy's sheer Jeremy-ness was a joy to behold

When they do stupid, they do it brilliantly. I laughed out loud - which I rarely do at the TV.
And is it my imagination, but was James wearing that bloody white teeshirt under another teeshirt?

What I think we all refer to as "that bloody white T-shirt" did, indeed, seem to be in evidence!

Meimichan, you have my unbridled thanks for the uploads (downloads??). We have a brand spanking 51in HD tv to which we can attach...um...things that enable us to see said downloaded TG in all it's glory for the first time, and with NO ADS!! (Channel nine here in Oz butchers it big time, and delays it by weeks - ep. 1 is this week). A thousand thank-yous!! (BTW, James looks soooooo lush in HD, doesn't he?....swoon).

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. ;D The trains were epic! Completely TG through and through. Poor Hammond didn't get to make his announcements. ;D Loved James, "p*nis! p*nis! p*nis! p*nis! p*nis!" ;D As soon as I saw Jeremy bringing the Jag in to have its train wheels fitted, I spotted the white t-shirt peeking out from under James' blue one. He can't possibly have been cold!! The Jag was nice. The Nissan was technical perfection. But neither one really spoke to me as a car I'd want. Rowan was wonderful. I've been waiting years for him to be on the show, and he didn't disappoint! ;D [Edit] silly filter

I liked it all right. The whole train thing kept me and MOH cracking up. The whole train thing was funny, but since any caravan they go near gets set on fire....a bit too predictable. Not sure it really added anything or would have taken anything away had the caravan not caught fire. I really liked the scenery for the train challenge too, that caught my eye. Morganstarr, you live in that area? Dang, you're lucky! Can someone explain the "joining the WI has more frills" please? I assume that you're not suggesting everyone up and move to Wisconsin, also abbreviated WI. For one, the weather's terrible.

WI - Women's Institute
I'm assuming frills refers to perhaps frills on the WI apron! ;D

WI - Women's Institute I'm assuming frills refers to perhaps frills on the WI apron! ;D Women's aprons have frills? All my non-frilly plain black apron has on it is the phrase "Don't f**k with the cook." But in all caps, gets the message across better. ;D

I thought it was "thrills", not "frills", which would make more sense, as the Women's Institute does have rather a staid reputation! Jam-making competitions, that sort of thing.
I have a friend who's a devoted member (she lives out in the country and there's not much to do apart from admire the cows) and she says the image isn't true, but I'm not so sure.
