Yay! He mentioned "Click and Clack" from NPR's "Car Talk." That makes me so happy that he's heard of them. OMG How does James know about the Tappet Brothers, Tom and Ray Magliozzi?! I listened to them on NPR every weekend for years. How timely, they just announced they are quiting after 35 years. Hee hee, I'll take the allegro if it's the estate model. ;D

James has just tweeted that he's recorded a 'most unusual' interview for Absolute Radio for tomorrow (Wednesday). There's nothing on their website yet, but he regularly does the Breakfast Show with Christian O'Connell show so it might be that. I'm trying to get more info, and if I do I'll post it here. Edit: Wow! That was quick! I e-mailed Absolute to ask about when it was going out and whether there will also be a video as there has been in the past, and this came straight back from the Executive Producer: It was an interesting interview! It’ll be on tomorrow morning after 8.30am on Absolute Radio, there will be a video around the same time. Find out James’ favourite ever man movies, and why he’d turn gay for Beethoven.…Told you it was interesting! Hope that helps. Sounds as if it's going to be a good one! There's an On Air facility on their website. www.absoluteradio.co.uk/www.absoluteradio.co.uk/onair/breakfast/Further edit: I've just replied to thanks the producer for the info, and I've mentioned that we actually have a thread about James on the Breakfast show - you never know, we might get a mention!

Podcast of today's interview on Chris Evans is up - available for seven days. www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/evans#playepisode1I completely empathise with James when he talks about his fear of heights, as I have exactly the same thing. He describes in this interview the feeling that you 'actually believe you will fall off' a high building or in a similar situation, and I couldn't have put it better myself. I've had it all my life, it's actually called Acrophobia and it's no fun. For example, I can't use the Underground in London as I can't hack the tall escalators. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrophobia

Oh and james that new fezza is mine if i buy this DVD As far as I know, Hammond is presenting the James Bond special on his own, while the other two have collaborated on the Christmas DVD, so it makes sense for them to make separate appearances. I seem to remember guest slots on Chris Evans' shows are pretty short - I don't listen to him much, to be honest.

Today was short - a few minutes on the phone. But Chris' friday slots are an hour 8-9am

I believe James said he was on a mountain at 7000 ft. but didn't specify they were still in Uganda. Who guessed Kilimanjaro earlier?

WOW! Safe to download this stuff? So far, no problem but I can't vouch for that. I'll let you know if my computer blows up...on second thought...if no one hears from me in a while, no it wasn't safe.

Good interview. The sort of interview you get when the interviewer isn't in love with the sound of their own voice. Well done, Mark Goodier

This one, Dit?? Great interview!! ;D Yep, that's the one! I have no idea why it wouldn't save in Photobucket - though it suddenly appeared later in the day. Weird! Jacqui - love your cryptic comment! Regarding the yellow coat, it must be a warm one as he was wearing it last winter too. This pic was taken towards the end of November 2011.
