Hello! To those who vaguely remember me and Hello! To those who don't.
I really enjoyed these programmes. I listen to Radio 3 a fair amount but was away when these were broadcast, so many thanks for the links.
He has an eclectic taste - I can't say I enjoyed all his choices (the Bach 'cover' for example) but I love Debussy and any Spanish piano played by Alicia de Larrocha. Heaven.
I really hope he changes his mind about doing a music programme - radio or TV. I think he does underrate himself and I suspect he would be very good indeed. I also think it may soon be time for him to consider diversifying a little more.
A belated happy new year to all!

James May: New car show will be a 'credible rival' to Top Gear
James May, who will front a new car show with Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond, said there will be a 'healthy' rivalry between their show and the new series of Top Gear. 'Nobody really loses out. We each have a credible rival to bounce off so that's quite good fun. And the fans get two shows to watch where there used to be one.' He told 5live he doesn't 'have any regrets' about leaving Top Gear and he wished 'good luck' to Chris Evans who will be presenting the new series. James May tells us about the new series of The Grand Tour and gives an update on Richard HammondBy Luke Dolan - @ljdolan93 Friday, June 16, 2017 James May popped by the studio for a chat with Paul Ross this morning. The presenter, along with Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson, has been filming the second series of Amazon's The Grand Tour. He spoke to Paul Ross about how he's finding it, and shared more details of his new book The Reassembler, which has also been made into a BBC TV series. The presenter also shared more details on Hammond, who was recently involved in a car crash. "He's got a broken bone in his knee which has been pinned together. He's a bit grumpy, he's gonna be on sticks for a few months," May said. "But we're pleased with the result, it could have been a lot worse."
