No problem watching the videos here in the US, ladylurker. Maybe you should send a Tweet to @theheadsqueeze about that. twitter.com/TheHeadSqueeze I'm not on Twitter, or I would, but thanks for answering. Any other non-British Europeans getting access?

Headsqueeze is genuinely entertaining and informative. It's kind of like the old 3-2-1-Contact, but for grown-ups!

It was an educational children's science program shown on public television in the US in the 1980s. It was fairly informal and explained a lot of fairly complicated scientific concepts via real-world examples that were easy to understand and remember.

Another Americanist chiming in; I watched the Knowledge Badger Toilet segment earlier today.
The Knowledge Badger's excessively put-on accent really annoys me.

I think I'm going to bring the ingredients for this experiment the next time I visit my young nephews. However, I think I'll use smaller bottles in order to waste less vegetable oil. I think if you break up the Alka-Seltzer into smaller pieces it wouldn't overflow it. I'll test it at home in the kitchen sink first before I blow my sister's kitchen up, though!
Also, is anyone else intrigued by the horrible rabbit lamp James claims to own? That's a "pics or it didn't happen" sort of claim to make.
