Jeremy's really keen on the Dark Blue Shirt of Sex, I notice. I think he's probably realised what it does for all the Jezzabelles ;D

I love like that dark blue shirt . Why the frown Jezza? James' shirt looks like he may have gotten it in India with the paisley design. James looked quite nice. Still relaxed and luscious.

Just picked this up on Twitter - not sure whether it's for series 20, or for something else as it seems to involve Chris Evans and Prof Brian Cox, but I'm tempted to think that it's for TG.
Just saw @mrjamesmay filming at tower bridge in a Rolls Royce. (I think it was but stayed tuned to top gear, it might be there)

Sounds like that might be for THE THING they've all been doing (and Gary Barlow), allegedly for the Mail on Sunday...

I saw a mention on a car forum of 3 supercars being filmed in York this week. Could be the guys.

It would appear that they are definitely filming now. This from a lady called Amy Joy on Twitter - there was also a reference to all three of the guys being there.
It all happens in Sandwich. Top Gear is being filmed today.......scrap yard by Pfizer. Some of it has been screened off. James may was there for def.....they were by Eastry church yesterday apparently as well

I know it's probably a bit wrong of me to think such things, but with Jeremy being one of the media representatives invited to Margaret Thatcher's funeral, I'm hoping Top Gear will be in charge of building the hearse...
Sorry about that.

You'll see the Rolls and the camera crew at about 3:55 of the video, but you don't see James that well. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cwYYbaFb9o

A ton even for an American. That guy was weaving in and out so much at one point I thought he was going to go on the sidewalk. Bus lane no, no. James would never drive like that.

Another 5 minutes of my life wasted. Sigh. But I'm glad I don't have to drive in London traffic.

Heh, I tried cycling in London a few times. NO MORE. I was sounding rather like Richard in the cross-London challenge by the end of it. Ruddy buses

Buses can be a nuisance, but I've always maintained that black cabs can be worse. An example: several years ago, I was walking along Piccadilly, on my way to work, when I saw a cab make a u-turn in the road outside the Ritz hotel, knocking over a motorcyclist in the process. It was a fairly low-speed accident, but no doubt it would have caused the biker at least some minor injuries. There's no way I'd ever dare to drive or cycle in central London. Just too much traffic!

I've driven in London, but I wouldn't cycle.
What amused me about the video was that many motorcyclists and cyclists use those helmet-cams to record incidents of bad car driving endangering their lives etc. Think that guy would be on pretty shaky ground!

That looked no different than motorcyclists in LA. The reckless weaving "technique" is called lane splitting here and is legal as is driving in the bus/HOV lanes. I despise motorcyclists on high speed crotch rockets.

James has been seen today at Beaulieu, and driving an old Beetle nearby. Sounds like something for series 20.

I love 'em.

Well, now looking at those taillights and the vents in the decklid, I'm thinking '71, but I am hampered by only really knowing the year-by-year minutia of the US import models, some of which had some different fittings because of US safety regulations. The front indicator lights look like earlier style to me, but the big, chunky ones you see on US model cars of that year may have been fitted on the behest of the USA importers.
The VW-obsessed pedantic car bore side of me is going absolutely apes trying to figure this car out!
I must say that James May looks particularly attractive and fitting with this car, even if he doesn't like it very much!
I wonder if they're doing a segment on the air-cooled VW...that dunebuggy he's driving in the shot a couple of posts above is based off of a shortened Beetle floorpan. It kind of looks like a Meyers Manx body, but there were so many independent producers, and most of them based their design more or less off off the Manx.
