Have I mentioned how awesome Peter Capaldi is... Now I have physical proof of it.

Way back in June I participated in a project on the Whovian Amino App called #DearPeter.

They were putting a book together of letters and art work by members of the community to send to Peter Capladi. Here's the letter I wrote.

After they sent the book off to his agent, they expected maybe a nice note to the community. But that's not what happened. Peter Capaldi personally answered EVERY LETTER in the book... OVER 80 OF THEM!

Oh wow that is very cool and generous of Peter Capaldi. He's a righteous dude. It's so nice to see people doing good and spreading joy in the world. I hope he stays on as the Doctor for awhile. It's a shame the BBC has decided to delay the next full series until 2017

Peter Capaldi is a class act. The way he treats the fans and all the causes he participates in is amazing.

And I agree that the BBC putting off Series 10 for a year is ridiculous. First they put the show on after 'Strictly Come Dancing', and not at a set time each week, and now the postponement of the series. You get the feeling the BBC wants the show to fail.

Peter Capaldi To Play Titus Andronicus In Shakespeare’s Globe The Complete Walks Film

Peter Capaldi is to play Titus Andronicus in a new short film by Shakespeare’s Globe.

Shakespeare’s Globe has announced initial casting and locations for The Complete Walk, a series of 37 short films to be screened along London’s South Bank, Liverpool and in international locations, throughout the weekend of 23-24 April 2016, the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.

The cast includes Peter Capaldi as well as other Doctor Who alumni, including Zawe Ashton who played Journey Blue in Into the Dalek, Meera Syal who played the super-lovely Dr Nasreen Chaudhry in The Hungry Earth and Cold Blood, and Lindsay Duncan, Adelaide Brooke in The Waters of Mars.

At the heart of each ten-minute film will be brand new material, shot on location in a setting with particular historical and narrative resonance. Confirmed filming locations include Hampton Court Palace for Henry VIII, The Tower of London for Richard III, Westminster Abbey for Henry IV, The Houses of Parliament for Richard II, Areopagus Hill in Athens for Timon of Athens, the Forest of Ardennes in Belgium for As You Like It, Tomba di Giulietta in Verona for Romeo and Juliet and Kronborg Castle in Denmark for Hamlet.

As well as being screened along a 2 ½ mile stretch of the Thames between Westminster and Tower Bridge, The Complete Walk will also be exported to other cities around the country and the world. Confirmed hosts for the series of films thus far include Liverpool and Santa Barbara.

A full list of venues, opening times and the locations of each play will be released in March.

Small, fleet-of-foot film crews have been flying around the world to capture performances against the original settings from Shakespeare’s global imagination. More casting and filming locations will be announced in the coming weeks.

The BBC Has Confirmed That Peter Capaldi's New Companion Will Be Unveiled At Half Time During The Manchester United v Everton FA Cup Semi-Final

It's official – the BBC will reveal the identity of Jenna Coleman's successor this Saturday.

The new Doctor Who companion will be unveiled at half time during the Everton v Manchester United FA Cup semi-final on BBC1.

The live edition of Match of the Day starts at 4:50pm with the game kicking off at 5:15pm, meaning fans should know who will be joining Peter Capaldi's Doctor in the TARDIS some time between 6pm and 6:15pm.

That's the when. All that's left to find out now is the Who.

“Doctor Who” announced the new ‘companion’ for the upcoming season, with the top post racking up 2.5 million views on Facebook and ranking as the series’ most shared post since 2013.

The announcement, which generated more than 50,000 total shares – was shared more than the August 2013 announcement naming Peter Capaldi as the 12th doctor. The announcement also prevailed on YouTube, where it helped generate nearly half a million total views across several new videos published.

In addition to strong post engagement, fans buzzed across social, driving conversation volume to pop 40% from last week. New fans sprung up to like and follow the program across Facebook and Instagram, causing fan growth to more than double from the week prior.

His Duty Of Care

April 22, 2016...

The Doctor and Bill had just thwarted a nasty looking orange blob that was planning to have the earth for it’s next meal, and now they were running back to the TARDIS. Passing a news stand as they made their way through the crowds on a busy London street, Bill’s eye caught a large headline on one of the papers and she froze to the spot. It didn’t take long for the Doctor to notice that his companion was no longer by his side. He turned back to see her standing in front of the news stand, as people made their way around her. The Doctor walked back to her and looked at what had seemed to put Bill in a trance. Bill hadn’t been with him that long but after reading the headline he was now sure he knew she was in a state of shock. The Doctor took Bill’s hand and gently spoke to her. “Come on, Bill. We have to get back to the TARDIS,” he said, leading her in the direction where the Doctor had landed the big blue box.

The Doctor led Bill into the TARDIS, and then sat her down on the stairs leading to the upper walk way. Bill still had a faraway look on her face and she had not said one word, which spoke volumes to the Doctor. He knew he had to do something to help his young friend. Going to the TARDIS' console, he set the coordinates that would let the ship float in the vortex for a while. Then the Doctor checked his music playlist and found the tune he needed, and had it play. After the first few strums of the guitar played, life came back into Bill’s eyes and then they filled with tears. The Doctor came and sat next to her, and put his arm around her. Then Bill put her head on his shoulder and began to sob. The Doctor didn’t say a word, he just sat and comforted Bill as Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’ played throughout the TARDIS.
