Oh thanks jmsquared, that'd be great. I could use a back rub for one. My stupid back pain's doing wonders at keeping me awake.

Another natural sleep remedy as featured in the daily fail, drinking a large glass of cherry juice. I haven't been able to sleep for so long I give anything ago. I wonder if Cherry Ripes work? ;D

*checks out a bed long-term*
Send whatever doctor who can stop me from constantly getting sick. Or who gives the best hugs.
*is seriously about to weep in frustration*

I think we need a TG3 consult on the meimichan ward! Stat Boys!
You can cuddle Dr. Hammond, have Dr. May give you a back rub and indulge in a Dr. Clarkson cocktail. Good luck!

Thanks DMC although I mis-read what you said about Clarkson at first and nearly choked on my chicken nugget. ;D Sounds like I'll at least be well-attended? I thought I had gotten food poisoning, just realized I was trained by a new coworker who was sick as hell and had kind of lost her voice. In more news...I've lost my voice. Much as I'd like to rage about people working while sick and spreading it to the rest of us, I know in this job and kind of work if you call in sick you're in serious danger of losing your job. I got my hours cut at the toy store rather noticeably last year when I had to take three days off when I got the flu. Stupid system. No pun intended. Or pun intended. Whichever you prefer. Put a dead fly in your co-worker's milk just to show there are no hard feelings.

Not exactly a malady but the services of Dr May in the capacity of a therapist would be gratefully received. Desperately need some encouragement to have a series of steriod injections to improve the look of my rather large and nasty looking skin cancer scar despite a life long fear of needles

Good luck with the needles.I have to have millions of them myself. When they say it's only a small scratch look at them and say Liar.

I'm not sure anyone believes them when they say that lol. As soon as they say small scratch to me I just want to make a run for the door and I'd be quite happy to deliver a swift kick to the shin of anyone who got in my way too :-)

At the Kohl's group interview yesterday they did say that calling in sick was not a good thing. The HR manager had stage 3 breast cancer 2.5 years ago and she only missed four days and had 4 surgeries, 2 rounds of chemo and radiation. I would not work for an institution that doesn't recognize the importance of being out at certain times. I have no plans what so ever of working there after Christmas.

As soon as they say small scratch to me I just want to make a run for the door and I'd be quite happy to deliver a swift kick to the shin of anyone who got in my way too :-) I had to read this twice. When you mentioned a 'small scratch', I had to think about what you meant. Then it dawned on me. Over here, when I get my shot every 12 weeks, they say, "Now you'll just feel a little prick." It does amuse me when they say it. ;D Perhaps they should say scratch. ;D Good luck with your shots. A few deep breaths and slowly letting them out my help you relax a bit. It works for me when I'm stressed or tense about something.

Not a good start to the day. Woke up early in a cold sweat, wanting to puke everywhere...etc...and ended up collapsing on the floor. Still feeling very fragile. Remind me to never eat Maccas again.

Now I really feel like I am in hospital. It's just gone 4am and my mum came to check on me. Am I ok? Well, I was perfectly fine until I was woken up! Don't get me wrong, I appreciate her concern, but now I'm wide awake.

I reckon it's more than what I ate, although it would be too coincidental for it to not have contributed. Think I have a tummy bug of some sort...might explain all the headaches I've been having lately.
Dr May, a tummy rub would be lovely right now!

Muh leg hurrrts I have a patch of neuropathic nerve damage on my left leg, and tonight it feels like somebody has doused my leg in petrol and set fire to it. Other times it's completely numb. I wish it was numb now. It's nearly bed time and so as it's cold I shall have to have the duvet on, but that'll make the leg feel even hotter

I have the same sort of damage on the side of my abdomen, TheDaisy. It'll not trouble me for weeks/months and then start driving me mad. Sometimes it's actually painful, but more often it's the sort of thing you described. Do you ever get that feeling when it's numb beneath the surface, but somehow it's also itching like hell on the skin itself? However much you scratch, it gets no better. That's one of the weirdest sensations I've ever had!

Wow!! I thought I was the only one who knew what that sensation was. I've had it since my op.I've mentioned it to the consultant lots of times just to be told it will go. It's a cold, burning iching sensation.

I hope you feel better soon, antonia.
I've got a touch of flu myself. Got up to get some more 7Up and make a quick check of my emails, thought I'd make a stop by here before heading back to bed.

Woke up in screaming agony with a migraine. Went to sleep throwing up earlier. I've gotta be at work in 4 hours. Initially I was annoyed at the later start, but now I'm kind of grateful for it. Send a doctor who can make me never get these freaking headaches again. Good thing the drugs worked, I was seriously debating going to the ER for a few minutes there. Still debating calling off work, but the drugs and ice did wonders. Still, got any more medicine Doctor May?

I drugged my headache into oblivion and worked slowly tonight. Luckily it was a fairly slow night except for the Lego section. I nearly passed out a couple times(not fun), but hopefully I get over it the rest of the way today. Got tonight off, thank goodness, but tomorrow is going to be BRUTAL. Gotta work both jobs.

I have what Dr May would call consumption.... most men call it man-flu... i call it a chuffing irritating head cold that i could do without when I am so busy at work that I haven't had a proper lunch break for over 2 weeks.... maybe thats why I seem to have permanent indigestion Anyway I need some TLC.... calling Dr May.....
