Ive spent a very entertaining few weeks getting to know this forum. First got interested due to 10yr old car mad son, and it sort of developed from there. Felt I had to post first msg sometime and was prompted by reading personal type thread this am. V impressed by sympathy and advice given. You all seem to be real friends and support each other - and have the same um...interest....obsession..I was also specially entranced by the fiction thread...at my age too...

Hello, all. I'll have to admit it straight away. James May and this Board are my Guilty Pleasures. I have only just joined, but am almost a founder member as I discovered you first just before the Digital Whatsit Board closed you down. I have followed you through all your incarnations since then but never quite dared to make the final step - I'm definitely too old for all this! However, in the end I couldn't resist the thought of all that I was missing, so bit the bullet, so to speak.
I love all the pictures and am in awe of what some of you can make your computers do!
