Hi I am new. My name is Emma from Milton Keynes.
My James obssession started big time this week, but have loved Top Gear for ages. My favourite episode was when they had to drive the mopeds through Vietnam.
Confessed to my mum and turns out she loves James too, we both agreed Hammoond would make a great brother :S Anyway, now I send her pics of James via email to cheer her up at work.
My OH has no idea as he would probably make fun of me mercilessly.
Why dont they sell Captain Slow tshirts for us ladies???

P.s any help with a signature or pic of James would be great as I dont know how to set it up x

Welcome Emma, tis grand to meet you I was thinking maybe I should kind of re-introduce myself, as I was about in the summer for a short while and disappeared. I had some family problems after my nephew passed away which impacted majorly on my degree work this year, so until now this semester has been a nightmare. But I'm more or less back on track now and would like to jump aboard once more....I hope this is ok And I hope it's not too off topic to write this here! |

Hello from a newbie from the "sixth happiest country in the world" - Finland! I stumbled upon this board already in the summer when I was looking for pictures of James, and I've been lurking on here from time to time ever since then. I only found the courage to join a few days ago... I've been watching Top Gear for years now, first on BBC World and when the Finnish TV channels picked it up, there's not one single episode I have missed. And I mean that, one channel aired all the TG episodes ever made since 2002 a few years ago so I've seen them all, and ever since he joined the show, Captain Slow was my favorite presenter. But sometime early last spring I noticed he had become something so much more to me than just that... I'm still kind of embarrassed by my puppy love because I'm MM (married and middle-aged) but I was completely blown over by James's incredible personal charm (the eyes! the hair! the smile!), his sharp wit and intelligence. So I was hooked - and it's been getting worse all year. One of our TV channels kept airing repeats of seasons 11 and 12 all summer, and that was like a drug to me... I guess you guys here know what I mean...  Now we're getting to see season 13 and I'm loving it! One other thing that endears James to me is that he has a cat. A man who loves cats is a definite turn-on for me - I myself have adored cats ever since I can remember. At the moment my husband and I are kittyless because we had to have our darling orange-and-white manx put down at the end of August. He was a dear member of our family for 17 years and two months, and we still mourn his passing. But back to happier things. I hope this longish introduction of mine didn't scare you guys in any way as I'm looking forward to joining you in drooling over our gorgeous James... ;D |

Thanks for the warm welcome. I just dropped by to see if I can get myself an avatar... and it worked! I'm a member on three other message boards and I have a James avatar on all of them but on them I can upload it straight from my own computer. But I did get the hang of this photobucket thing, it seems, and that's a miracle for such a computer illiterate person as I am. ;D I hope no one else has this lovely picture of James and Fusker as their avatar...? |

Welcome xsarabee, I know exactly where you are coming from. Snap, it took me a while to join up but I know I made the right choice as it's very friendly here. No need to be embarrassed by your James passion, you are amongst like minded people. Oh and by the way there is no cure for JM addiction, lets hope a cure is never found!
